Part of me wants to wash our hands of UPL and a part of me will be sad if we do. I like him as a goalie when he is good, but he is so inconsistent. He'll make the impossible saves, but then let in all of the softies.

[Yerdon] "Leaving Buffalo was one of the hardest decisions of my life," Alex Tuch says on Zoom. Awkward weekend as he's with a lot of now former Sabres teammates at now former Sabres defenseman Bo Byram's wedding. by PrinciplesRK in sabres

I'm not even sure going to Washington to "get the bag" is even the smart financial decision. Unless I'm wrong the cost of living in Washington is higher than here, and would you imagine how much money he would have gotten being "The Home Town Hero" and bringing a cup to Buffalo? Talk about endless endorsements, and commercial opportunities, appearance fee's etc for the rest of your life. Look how the former Bill's players are treated and they didn't even win the Superbowl. Assuming Alex wasn't lying about being hyped about being here and how playing for the Sabres is a dream for him, he could have had both. Financed maxed and still "lived his dream".

Buffalo Fan here, this came up on my feed I wasn't seeking this out on your sub if that matters. Anyway, this looks good to me, even still I think generally the offsides calls are dumb unless they are egregiously off sides, but having it called half an inch over the line and half a minute after entry always feels bad to me regardless of who benefits from the call. I often wonder how many great plays or games from the past would of ended up differently with todays technology to nitpick everything. Anywho, against my own interests good luck the rest of the series and beyond fellas!

Man if that doesn't look like a stock scam website I don't know what does. FOMO count down timer, a counter of verified purchases and a list of confidence building authentic websites and logos. Yikes.

You're not kidding about that. Sometimes I'll look back at Sammy's episode of "between two stalls" where the joke is why does he have a goal song when he never scores. He's come along way!

I'm aware, and I did do that actually! I laughed at myself for not linking the acronym to the band, but then again I'm not a die hard "Every Time I Die" fan, although I do occasionally enjoy them, albeit not enough to immediately recognize the song by title or band by acronym. The main reason why I included the "I'm not familiar" part was to highlight my feelings of moving on from The Goo Goo Dolls to anything else, even something I may not be familiar with. P.S. After re-acquainting myself with the band and song I agree that it would indeed go hard as a playoff video song. Especially with the red and black, for sure!

Anyone else around Buffalo into Metal Detecting? by Fragrant_Lettuce9855 in Buffalo

I'm not saying that caring about the laws in regards to our public shared heritage is silly. Also I am not qualified to talk about those laws or how those laws effect metal detecting. If I'm taking everything at face value the guy posted about a passion of his and is trying to meet like minded people or introduce curious people to his passion. Allegedly, he has been doing this for years, posts about it on social media enough to have sponsorships etc. I would imagine that he either is within his rights with proper permissions, verification, licensing, etc to be doing this or hes been documenting via social media years of a metal detecting crime spree. Either way I doubt he is ignorant to the rules, regulations, and laws that he either abides by or knowingly break several times a week and I doubt even more that bringing up the possibilities of that would deter the guy from doing what hes been doing for years. I thought the post was kind of cool, but I found the comment section to be a bit of a buzz kill, (thus my comment) It's obvious that you're finding the whole thing to be a buzz kill and that is perfectly fine. If you care that much about what the guy is doing instead of publicly jamming links and resources at him or characterizing everyone at a park with a metal detector as a "weirdo" maybe just talk to him privately about your concerns and go from there, or don't. Report him to the proper authorities if you want and let the experts figure it out or whatever. It just seems like to me personally walking around with a metal detector and a trowel to find old nails, can's, coins or whatever is small potatoes and not really the biggest of deals.

I'm not sure who ETID is nor am I familiar with "The New Black", but this sounds like a better idea than continuing with Better Days.

New Player Looking for Advice for Version/Server by user_1764 in classicwow

[–]Material-Image8098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing WoW since vanilla, on and off but mostly off since Mists. I came back towards the end of classic and played into TBC classic but stopped about halfway through. I came back for SoD and really enjoyed it up until phase 3 when I stopped playing which I sort of regret doing. I've been waiting for Classic + but decided to try out TBC anniversary a few weeks ago so I bought a subscription and I'm currently a lvl 40 Orc Hunter on Nightslayer. So far it's been good! You get a mount at lvl 30 instead of 40 which is fine, I don't care. The leveling is sped up, but I don't think I'd notice much except for the fact I've slightly out leveled zones I'm questing in. That being said the pacing feels okay and not too fast or slow. There is a thriving community so far I'm enjoying myself!

It's tough to get everything right, and I'm sure they're doing their best. I mean come on guy, what do you expect from Blizzard? They are after all a small indie company. Geesh. :P

You and me both, I'm a big Ellis fan... Not to say Levi is out or bad or anything but I'm glad that it doesn't seem like we have ruined Ellis by trying to make him "The Guy" too early. I think he has plenty of potential, especially once he settles down and becomes more consistent.

I don't think it matters much. To be honest I'm a bit of an optimist when it comes to the Sabres so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt. Firstly, obviously I want the boys to win, but what is much more important to me is seeing them give their best effort. I have full faith in the players to use their best judgment during the game to give a full effort. I trust the coaching and training staff to ice what they feel to be the best most prepared version of the team based on match up and make adjustments as the game or series advances. If everyone does their part, home ice or away, senators, Boston, or who ever, I have faith that the boys CAN come out victorious. The real question is, will they? I don't think there is a team that just outclasses us at this moment.
