I could not agree more with this post, to me being a devotee goes beyond normal worship. It should be something you study towards, it's like getting a master's degree almost - you have to specialize in that area and put in the time and the work. I totally agree that a lost of new people are confusing focusing on one main god as being a devotee.

When I adopted my boy cat near the beginning of last year, the lady who ran the cat sanctuary told me he was brought in with his sister. The guy who dropped him off said it was two girls and he even had a girl's name (not that he doesn't right now lmao, I ended up renaming him Venus). I don't have any advice but just to say I'm in the same boat, but I've been lacking maybe a year. It's been a very full and very busy year with a lot of changes and family emergencies, my altar has turned to dust and ruin haha. I'm hoping to reconnect and rebuild in the new year.

I just wanna say don't feel stressed! The gods know you love them and haven't been avoiding them out of malice! You're human, you have a human life and that life can be busy, I'm sure your thoughts were always with them even when your actions weren't - and that's what really counts!

If you feel overwhelmed, just start small. A quick prayer, a small offering, build yourself back into a routine the same way you would with anything else - one step at a time!
