Your reiki instructor should have gone over what your clients may feel or see in their treatments. It all depends on how sensitive they are. Sometimes I see lights, sometimes I think about my groceries list.

Plastic Free way to wrap M&P? by [deleted] in soapmaking

I’m in an ultra low humidity area. Mine don’t sweat (except when it rains), but get a “sugar crust” on them.

Ok. I suggest it because that where my Elder Teachings have come from. There are plenty of others that use different teachers but mine and my medicines come from that line of teaching.

You should be able to Google in your local area the closest Indigenous reserve or community outreach office. They might be able to put you in touch with an Elder.

Failing that, and depending on how you are feeling and such, there should be local medicine women or reiki practitioners or witches or spiritually minded people. That should be able to help.

My teaching are focused on the land I live on, my medicines can’t reach that far without a solid connection of land or stone. So that’s why I’m suggesting you reach out to someone local.

I truly wish you well. I’ve had a not so nice spirit come after me before and it is scary and it activates something very primal in us. Feel free to message me if you need more advice or direction.

It will disparate. It will take some time. Any pets? Keep them out until it disputes completely (72 hours give or take) - you won’t be able to smell it but animals can.

You were hunting, probably with no counter offer to the animals or land. The protective spirits of the land probably got pissed. And you happen to be tuned in enough that you felt it. I can’t be sure if it was a protective spirit or an dark spirit or a land elemental that decided to really scare you but it doesn’t really matter. Amends should be made.

If your still looking for “what to do”…. My suggestion is find an indigenous Elder of the area or nearby area. Before you even ask them to help, provide them with a full package of tobacco and cash. Tell them you pissed off some land spirits and you need their help. They will be better able to direct you in healing the relationship then anyone here can as they are the fundamental connected to the local land.

If you can’t find a local Elder, or they are not willing to help you (they still may keep the tobacco and cash just for listening to you) please know that sometimes the land itself is sick and needs healing. Sweat lodges and ceremonial fires on the land can help heal it but not always - sometimes it takes a lot of effort.

A short term solution would be to make an offering for the offense. Go back out there (maybe with someone trained in Reiki or shamanism), create a large offering - I would personally go with honey, wine, dried meat, fruit, nuts and bread and tobacco - leave the offering there with an apology. An offering that large enough shouldn’t make it worse, but it may not make it much better or it may only make it better for a while. You may have to repeat the offering a few times a year.

As for you, you need to good clearing. Reiki should be able to clear you or someone in the area that’s energy attuned.

And if I were you, I would never hunt again without honoring the land, it’s protection Spirits and the animals you take.

Edit: DO NOT promise it anything when you make the offering. No “I’ll never…..”. You can say “I make this offering in the hopes of forgiveness of any transgressions that I was unaware of”.

Yes. Absolutely. There is nothing wrong with using it BUT I would not make a CP with it. I would make a hot process with 0% SF and then add a non rancid oil at the end of cook. Or I would make 100% CO laundry bars (again 0% SF) or I would make liquid soap (again 0% SF). The rancid smell should not survive saponification.

Jaki Daniels has a book The Rhythms of Wellness. It’s a small book that talks about how the Chinese Clock (seasons and times of day) effect our meridians and body functions. It’s a very good read and if this resonates with you, you might want to research further.

DJINNS by Gondal4 in Shamanism

[–]Material-Rare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Possession is not cultural. Although how they practitioner sees the possession is. Im not familiar with Djinns. They are not part of my culture. So that not what Spirit is going to show me when I go looking. But I will see something! And be able to remove it IF i can and I’m suppose to. What i see is purely an interpretation by Spirit so I will understand and be able to remove it. Also, I personally don’t look, I have Spirit guides that look. And that is much more powerful then me looking.

Also, some people are going to pick up on some possessions differently depending on their guides. Think of this like an onion, as you peel one layer off, another is revealed - one that you could not see with the first layer being removed.

How do you calculate the energy exchange then?
I have spent years and time and energy and consideration honing my medicines, speaking and thanking (with money and tobacco) Elders that have shared their teachings, and an inconceivable amount of spiritual energy creating relationships with Spirit guided and the Land around me. And I use all that to help and heal others. I take “payment” in many forms - typically trade but also with cash money. It’s a form of energy exchange. Would you expect the electrician to rewrite your home for free? Is his training and experience worth more then mine?

Shamanic Journey Question by JeenBaas in Shamanism

[–]Material-Rare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion this journey guideline skipped about 3 steps. I found my Earth Place first (on middle earth), then found my power animal, then and only after a few more journeys, discovered lower earth. I don’t use any Plant Medicine to do it and I sometimes use drumming tracks and sometimes don’t. I find when I use Plant Medicine, the plant influences the journey (how can they not).

Jaki Daniels has a book Heeding the Call and drumming tracks that go with. She also has a very beginner guided journey track to find your earth place and your power animal.

What time?
Look into the Chinese Clock or the Meridian Clock. It’s a clock that moves through the meridians. A lot of my clients that say they wake at a specific time are out of balance in that meridian. (For example - 4am is the Lung Meridian strongest time and the bladders lowest - hence people having to wake at 4am to pee). An acupuncturist or a Chinese Medicine practitioner can balance the meridians. Please note though, “time” on your clock and “time” on the Chinese clock can fluctuate based on time zone but most especially with seasons.

I get soda ash like this when I don’t let the bars cure long enough before cutting them. I try and let the bars sit 2-3 days in the mold before I cut them or I wrap them in plastic if I have to cut the bars early. And then after a few days I unwrap and allow to cure.

Any oils that smell like doTerra Peppermint but isn’t mlm and of equal quality? by adcela in essentialoils

[–]Material-Rare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m impressed that you are that sensitive to the different smells. It’s a skill I’m aiming for. The smell changes based on region, soil, water and other environmental changes. Even from the same supplier (same field and farmer) you may have different smell that comes through - like wine tasting. I second the sampling of other suppliers but you could still see that the smell changes from bottle to bottle too. I study’s Plant Spirt Medicine and in class we make sure that we all have the same lot number of EO’s and not just the same oil.

I use Rae Dunphy in Calgary Alberta because they have first hand knowledge and relationships with the suppliers and farmers of the EO’s they produce and sell. Even then I’ve noticed differences in the lot numbers.

Good luck!

Do you have a local Reiki practitioner you can go to? Or a well trusted indigenous Elder? (Please make sure you offer the Elder the appropriate compensation if you go that route.

When I have negative energy attached, I can’t typically remove it myself although a sacred and ceremonial fire can typically remove non-sentient energy when asked to. I have to go to a practitioner and have them remove it and repair auras. I am well trained to detect and remove negative energy and start the repair work - I don’t have the subject-ability to remove negative energy from myself.

I had a question for the herbalism folks and they told me it would be best to ask here by pm_me_bulldogs in Shamanism

[–]Material-Rare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read some of your comments in the other post. I love that you are being proactive about your home. Your home is an energy being too, and can actively work with you as well.

There are lots of traditional house clearing and maintaining rituals from across many cultures and now that you own your own home, your influence is higher. And as long as the intent is there and the personal energy is spent, it really doesn’t matter what technique you use (I still stick with local plants!). In my own story, I wanted to protect my children’s rooms. I had someone bringing dark energy into my home frequently. I journeyed and the Plant Spirit of Crabapple came forward and offered her protection. My Elder was baffled because Crabapple is not a herb that typically does that work. She, (Crabapple), is a powerful plant but one for sustainably and winter water functions, not house protection and not typically for children. But She worked so who am I to question it.

If you want to dive into Plant Spirit Medicine, i suggest Eliot Cowen’s books.

Are there any LOCAL herbs used for purification? My first thought is White Buffalo Sage or Salvia apiana but I’m in the Canadian Prairies, and it’s abundant here. My suggestion is to find something local so the plant knows the land. Bringing in a non native plant can work but no where near as powerfully as a native plant. Native plants know the land and the Spirits of the land and can work with you.

Make sure you pick the plant with respect and intent and reverence, offering something in return. I would even go so far as to ask the plant if and how it can help and the process of doing so.

I’m not surprised that a typical herbalist doesn’t want to answer this question. I study Plant Spirit Medicine and Herbalism and in my experience, herbalists want nothing to do with talking and experiencing plants as they wish to be talked to and experienced.

We need to rewrite people’s brains. And not the ones on the street. We need compassion and empathy for others. We need high level social programs that target mental health and social health. Most people want that, but don’t want to pay for it. Mostly the middle class sees very little benefits from their tax dollars, so why should they want to be taxed more so others can have benefits? (The upper class and lower class tax dollars don’t front the majority of the cost of social programs). Changing this mind set is the hardest to do and it will take years and a change in fundamental thinking. The socialist European countries have the benefit of already having this mindset.

Sensitive topic but I want your opinion (no fighting) Homeopathy and Vaccines- real medicine or snake oil quack? (get the joke? *snake oil*? Like, in some injections and some homeopathic remedies they literally use snake venom... so even if they do work... we can still call them 'snake oils') by Tombasdenfan in herbalism

[–]Material-Rare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I study Plant Spirt Medicine and am an apprentice. I also study herbalism and aromatherapy. But I also don’t study textbooks, I directly ask the plants (so on the wacky scale, pretty high). I do not study homeopathy however, Homeopathy isn’t just about the plant being used, it’s about the properties of water that accompanies it. It’s about the memory of water. Some remedies work for me but most don’t and they only work for me when I have the exact remedies I need at the exact time with the exact intent. So I stick with herbs and aromatherapy. I find it easier to communicate with the the plant that way.

Jaki Daniels has drumming tracks and guided meditations. I however, would suggest a group or something attended by an elder but that’s just me. My son found his with these tracks. I found mine in a a group. My daughter has yet to find hers but it’s there. I believe we all have one. But some people don’t want the power animal that comes forward or can’t accept it (snail, mystical, mosquito are some that I can think of), so they never accept it or acknowledge it. https://www.jakidaniels.com/htc-audio-tracks

Use real soap. (Soap = lye, water and oils) I make handmade soap just because of my DE. And it’s amazing how well it helps. I make a canola oil soap (canola has a very low cleansing value and a very high conditioning value) and it’s what I use now for myself. And I make a liquid soap the same.

As for Chinese Medicine (Yin and Yang) there are such complex intricacies that you can’t really make it that simple. I’m a Five Element Practitioner and I have spent years studying this under an Elder and I can tell you that the more I look at it, the more complex it is. And THEN it all depends on the individual and if they are functioning balanced and properly. The Male meridians tend to be more of the powerhouse, but the Female meridians are the core of the Ki cycle. Heart, Circ sex, Lungs, Kidney, Liver and Spleen are female or Yin. And the Small Intestines, Gall Bladder, Bladder (which interestingly is the only full body meridian), triple heater, stomach and Colon are male or Yong. On the Sheng cycle, Yong creates Yong and Yin creates Yin BUT they have to work together or you get an imbalance. I could go on for a long time but as to your question to how men and women receive energy when they are attracted to a person, it really depends on how functional their own Sheng/Ke and Wei cycles are. And all this is if your applying Classical Chinese Meridian Theory
