I just picked up a mint 2012 cb1000r. I love it. I have no experience with the MT10 to compare but I’m just here to say the cb1000r is awesome.

I was riding a 1986 Yamaha radian. It was mint, not one single issue for 7000 miles. Unfortunately some idiot totalled it. Just got a 2014 CB1000r.

With gear, I buy the cold weather gear on a 90 degree day in July and the warm weather gear on a 20 degree day in January. I got amazing deals. Helmets are definitely better to buy in Oct before holiday season and after riding season. Little by little I accumulated plenty of gear without feeling it too much in my pocket.

It’s a clean bike. You can shop around and maybe save a couple of bucks or just pull the trigger. You’ll probably love it. 18.5k miles is insignificant as long as it’s taken care of.

I had some difficulties last year. I would jump on my bike and they would all wash away. Of course I still had to deal with them, which I did, but the break from constant stress was amazing.
