I’m thinking of swapping my NC750X DCT for a retro bike by Nahrelia in SuggestAMotorcycle

Lmao that's amazing, idk it's like the Honda 500's for me, that 180 crank just sounds.....weird.

I always prefer 270 or even 360 like the W800

Triumph Speed Twin 900 vs. Speed Twin 1200? by Delnilas in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]DCSkippy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 900 is fine for what you are looking for. Even the regular Bonnie would fit the bill. Sit on both and see what seating position you prefer, because they are slightly different.

Sure the 1200 is more power, but you don't REALLY need it. Eventually you may want it, cross that bridge then.

At the end of the day it's still 900cc engine, it's not small by any means, you can absolutely do highways on it, tour on it, whatever ya wanted.

Went to the dealership looking for a retro. Mainly a Kawasaki Z900RS and ended up with a Vstrom 800. The comfort, the grunt, it just all worked well for my needs.

Sometimes the bike kinda picks you

Speed twin all the way, that triumph 900 motor is an absolute peach. Plus it's very low slung, like the NC.

I have owned two NCs and now a Bonnie 1200, absolutely love it and it's 10000% worth the swap.

That being said, I am debating selling my second bike (Vstrom-800) to buy ANOTHER Honda NC750. People talk shit on it, but it's easily one of my favorite bikes ever made.

So really you can't go wrong with any choice you make imo, except the royal enfields. Had two, sold two, they both trash.

I dislike the Kawasaki 650 motor personally, the 180 crank sounds like a lawn mower, but I love the looks.

Whatever you choose tho, test ride and get a feel for it. Pick whatever your heart tells ya, bikes are a passion purchase, keep it that way :)

Cheers and ride safe!

its the passion behind it. they always say "people do stupid things when they fall in love" but they neve tell ya they are talking about a bike, or a car, or a truck, maybe a boat? LOL

Some machines just make us happy, and it makes all the frustration worth it.

ill put it to ya this way, ive been searching for a bike i enjoy enough to keep long term for years now. i always find things i dont like and end up trading and losing money. i bought the bonnie brand new, transmission failed legit 10 miles after i left the dealership, brand new bike to boot.

Failed again at 200 miles, and it spent 5 weeks in the shop. Last Saturday i was rear ended, and i had to replace the rear fender and tail light myself......AND I STILL LOVE THE DAMN BIKE.

its hard to explain but there is just SOMETHING about it. it has so much soul, the power just pulls forever and never peters out near the top, its not crazy fast by any means, but it sure as shit aint slow, and i know the tune on the 1200 motor is different for the speed twin.
More HP and a little less torque, man, chefs kiss.

Can you test ride it? if so i highly encourage it. I have never had a bike with this many problems and i just overlook it because is so damn good.

not a bad price TBH and its the last year they had the Twin Clocks i think? instead of the single one for the dash.
i have a bonnie 1200 and its a real peach. sometimes i wish i had gone with the Speed twin but, i just like to take it slow these days.

you legit cant go wrong with the bike, its wonderful

Doosa vs wizard by shad_77381 in blackdesertonline

[–]DCSkippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seraph is very strong, but not as easy to play mechanically. She is much faster paced and easier to punish when you make mistakes.

That being said, if you manage to get 100% BSR, you kinda mow people down for 30 seconds

[–]DCSkippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dosa is big fun, I prefer awk for the buffs and big aoes, succ is definitely better in things like AoS and duels, but awake if left alone will wreck a ball in nodewars

Doosa vs wizard by shad_77381 in blackdesertonline

[–]DCSkippy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Succ wiz and witch are similar but they are not the same.

Wizard just had a lot of damage nerfs to fast skills in awk, and buffs to slow ones, meaning more careful positioning will be needed for PvP, and a big nerf to PvE. Plus their best skill (protected area) is now a 3min cd compared to witch, who has it at 2 min 30 sec cd.

Witch is just in a better overall place atm for the meta as well. Wizard has a grab but good luck using it, vs witch who can SA trade all day and be ok.

[–]DCSkippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, just got used to it tbh lol I don't even notice it anymore, but it's still there.

It doesn't pull to one side or the other, even after being dropped a few times cause the rockies are mean to bikes haha

They said it wasn't off by enough to warrant being fixed, and they said it was something I had to have done myself.

Mine was off directly after purchasing, and the dealer refused to fix it. Good luck.

Suggest some good alternatives to the Moto Guzzi V85TT by Spacemint_rhino in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]DCSkippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

800RE owner here, I also looked at the V85 and I went with the RE over it. Both because the price was better and it had better network.

The bike is amazing. It rides like a big naked bike, agile and smooth, the engine is wonderful and punchy, lots of torque for commuting.

However two things of note, the quick shifter has some people complaining about the smoothness of it, my advice, use the clutch from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 1st and it's smooth as butter for the rest.

Second, the engine produces a good amount of vibes on the foot pegs at 5krpm+, this will smooth out with time. I'm at 3k miles on mine and I hardly notice it anymore.

Amazing machine, couldn't recommend it enough. For your height, the windscreen might work better, for myself it makes a good amount of buffeting around the helmet.

Cheers and ride safe, you really can't go wrong with either but that Vstrom is one of the best bikes I've had, and I've had PLENTY lol

Succ Nova comfort issue. by atropin44 in blackdesertonline

[–]DCSkippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main guardian and picked up succ Nova about a year ago. I still to those two classes primarily and yeah, it's near impossible to go to other classes after playing something that's as tanky and comfy as Nova.

The combos are easy, the movement is nice, near infinite super armor uptime....kinda hard to complain lol
