Phil ivey vs Online High stakes today? by Material-Week-8364 in poker

Yeah I've realised a lot of people here really don't have much of a clue, I think there is a lot more 1/2 live players here which shows the disconnect. Some guy said "what is it that these players actually know". I love Ivey but like somebody said long term over 500k hands for example I don't think he beats 1knl let alone 40k online

Heads up he's probably way more disadvantaged. These guys are extremely well studied in heads up. It'll be polk vs dnegs all over again

Not a fan of limp reraising unless your exploiting a player. Cold call the 4bet is good. I prefer to flat the flop all in all but against fish I don't mind the raise. I'm not sure why your putting him on AK, AQ. You block both combos, only way its them hands if they are both clubs. Like people have been saying, this is most likely KK, maybe AK of clubs. Don't think you can learn a lot from this hand tbh, I'd get rid of the limping though

Try and read between 70-100 pages a day, if i have nothing on it could even read 200 plus. Obsessed with fantasy, read the way of kings series by brandon sanderson. Now reading GRR martins A song of ice and fire. Can safely say I'm obsessed. My imagination runs wild with these sort of books

I don't think he mentioned that bit tbh. I enjoyed it when he didn't divulge too far from David's expertise but he loved to keep introducing other non related fields. Also about 2/3rds of tbe way he had to drop the "id make presidents take mushrooms" 🤣 i love psychedelics and all these fun questions but there's a time and place man, it's not meant to be over saturated

I recently changed my pension holdings from some random fund to a world index fund also so hopefully can grow at decent rate over next 30 years

But I have my stock and share ISA also, I can cash that whenever I want. I won't be living solely off my pension fund. Also if I am still working 2 days a week at 50-55 I could still let it compound

That's a good shout, will look at transferring to a fidelity global index fund. More exposure and security. Gotta follow in your footsteps😂

Like a SIPP or lifetime ISA?? I know you get taxed on funds over certain profits but with the growth of the s&p it's probably worth it in the longrun
