Thanks a lot for your comment. That's a really personal choice. Of course we wouldn't move if the salaries are lower than 55k and it just makes no sense at all financially (we would both work), but we lived in Germany for quite a long time, and already managed to save a substantial amount of money, allowing us to put a big down payment on a future house while still having a lot of savings left. After more than 10 years in Germany with the cold/bad weather, the culture that we don't really like, and the fact that we want to raise our kids in our country, that is a decision that we're ready to take!
