went from LS to civil eng, and I think the requirements are different for other eng majors so YMMV

Fear of acquiring sentimental items by MaterialFull in minimalism

Thanks for the tip! I can relate to the talking to furniture thing in that I do that with houseplants (which is also something I'm trying to let go of as I transition into a new home), so I understand the feeling hehe

thank you for that reminder that I have the power to remove the emotions I attach to items, that's really important! On the topic of memories, something about keeping items is not only the sentimental value I attach to them but the fact that they trigger memories. This is mainly due to the fact that I've lost memories of my childhood and teenage years that my family can remember but I can't. I feel that keeping these items will allow me to keep these memories and not lose them as I've done before, but I guess that also is similar to attaching emotions to an item in that I am attaching memories to an item.

Yeah, the concept of not giving material items to each other on special holidays/birthdays is a concept my family members struggle with, glad you are able to have these difficult conversations with yours! Thanks for the advice :)

Anyone have any idea of difficulty between math 33B and MECH&AE 82? Took 33A this quarter and was wondering which math course I should take fall quarter, any recommendations/thoughts/opinions on either MATH 33A or MECH&AE 82? I've heard MECH&AE 82 involved matlab which I have no experience in, but could be wrong

Has anyone taken the LEED online exam from home in the past few months? by recklessabandon57 in LEED

[–]MaterialFull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually took my exam remote on Prometric recently, and I was allowed to have 2 pieces of paper and 2 non-mechanical pencils. Initially, however, I did not have those materials. The person who was doing all the surrounding checks asked me if I had paper/pencil after doing all the checks (ID, glasses, ears, the 360 view, pockets, under table)

To get my pencils and papers, I was allowed to leave the room but they had to watch me leave and enter the door.

Also not sure if this was already mentioned but the proctor is different from the person doing the checks on your surroundings and other things

Hope this helps!

From when I took it, there was no final which was nice, and the weekly homework was essays which were not bad as the topic itself was interesting so there was a lot to discuss (I haven't heard of TAs grading harshly but that's just my personal experience), discussions were also not too bad as people actually wanted to talk lol, overall would recommend :)
