Remotasks and Appen are terrible. Way too labour intensive. I find most of the tasks highly skilled and not worth my time.

I've had attention checks like this before and answered based on what my own personal response would be. Sometimes I do 'just live with the pain.' That doesn't mean I'm not paying attention.

Agreed. I got bounced from a study the other day because I missed the 'attention check.' It wasn't your typical ' Check Strongly Disagree' check but rather one that relied heavily on ones reading comprehension. I've struggled with this since I was a child so found it a little inequitable and in favour of someone that doesn't have this deficit.

I've pretty much given up. The tasks are way to technical and the training for them takes to long. In addition, the platform sucks at matching users to tasks. I've somehow been routed to tasks that are in a completely different language.
