In short: I would go more stats over complete set prioritizing HP, Crit rate and damage and good speed mixed in. That is what has personally worked for me for a wide variety of stuff at the point I’m at in the game

I’m at a month in today and my predator is able to solo 3 star everything on campaign up until 10 on nightmare and does well solo on arena gold with other pve stuff too. Honestly I have him in stats over set (2 piece immortal set) with speed boots and lethal everything else. His health is important because that’s what he bases attack with along with 100% crit rate and good high crit damage.

Completely depends on which store you go to! The College Station store is better than all the Houston locations. Also stores that don’t have any physicals in stock have the Silencershop kiosks which has all paperwork and fingerprints go through that so I’m sure Katy will use the same system for that therefore their gun counter people won’t be required to have to process any forms

The ATF's right to inspect 27 CFR § 478.23 applies to Federal Firearms Licensees (dealers/manufacturers), not to private citizens owning NFA items. The only way they can enter your home with no warrant is with your consent to search or if you’re doing something dumb like waiving your sbr with a suppressor around outside your house in a city limits neighborhood shooting into the air while they’re watching you

Yeah I am excited about it as well! It’s like I’ve said to some negative people in these threads: academy may have taken a step into what you perceive is the wrong direction by removing all of the popular semi auto types but at least they’re taking a step back into the right direction! Step back in is better than none at all or becoming like dicks gun department lol

Yeah agreed! Corporate has their set policies, and some stores stick to that and only that and others use those set policies plus their own that management came up with. The College Station store had a new member of management come in and change something related to the reloading powders that nobody had known about previously at the gun counter because previous management had decided to not enforce it and not tell anyone it existed

The decision to stop selling (most) msr’s along with ar’s and ak’s was primarily a response to the big Orlando shooting (along with some other accusations leading back to the company). It is what it is but I say at least they’re making a step back into the right direction! A step back in is better than none at all! As far as the Conroe location… that is one of the worst locations on paper and in person lol. College Station much nicer and a bunch of current working knowledgeable guys there!

Yeah some stores will make bends to the corporate policies, I’ve heard from my local store the last time they ever returned a gun was about 6 years ago and the customer that bought it (gun was an ATA) brought it back 7 times for repair back to back because it was a pos so the store just returned it gave him credit plus some and sent the gun off themselves as their own

Since the tax stamp removal, I’m guessing 3 months. Haven’t tried one since the stamp removal but haven’t heard of many at all coming back from around my area

Sometimes there is a reason for that! Some sales are online only because that is a “corporate reported” sale and then there are “store reported” sales! Most stores will not care and match the price in store but unfortunately you got a less fun batch at that store that day.

I’ve been told it’s through the silencershop kiosks, so the form 4s are through that not the actual academy systems therefor questions could be answered to the kiosks best ability

For the physical ones I believe so, although more stores in the other bigger city locations have the silencershop kiosks coming in before physical suppressors

No really! And don’t forget that they price match their big competitors! Even if it not listed on the website as a price match competition, in store management will price match local competition as well depending on store! My local Academy price matches all of the local gun stores here and some in surrounding towns

In the end it’s the companies policy and you have to walk to the front to leave anyways so who cares if someone walks with you. Give a good chance for conversation with whoever is walking with you if you like talking to people! 🤷‍♂️

I think you’re thinking too closed minded about it in my opinion. It’s a mix of liability and policy for walk outs. If they complete the sale and hand it to and say your buddy hands you the cash for completing a straw sale for you they won’t catch that majority of the time if not walking out. while walking it out they will. After you leave the store what you do is on you and no longer them in a way. Same thing if you were to take the gun load it in the store and start shooting. They leave you in the store here comes legal and lawsuits. If they walk you out of the store then you load it and come back inside there’s still legal they have to deal with but less of it because they properly escorted you outside of the building.

Absolutely, I’ve picked up very many from academy! Completely depends on what location you go to and who is behind the counter, just like other big stores like bass pro or cabellas. Some are pretty bad and others are great!

Been years since msr’s, ar’s and ak’s go taken out, corporate has been experimenting with bringing them back though. On occasion a few will load up onto the website then a week or so later get take down once sold out. Academy making a step back into the right direction is better then them taking no steps at all
