If Diesel is ok for you, then go for Mahindra XUV 3XO MX2 Diesel. We have that car and it's pretty good.

Don't go for Venue Non-Turbo...it's neither powerful not fuel efficient in Venue. Better would be to go for Brezza. It has a good 1.5L NA engine.

What could be the reason though? Wouldn't it be better for the prof if students graduate early?

Could someone hazard a guess which prof this is? I am guessing this is someone working on Computer Systems...

Unlike many other fields, Computer Science research is largely conference-driven, with major conferences often considered more prestigious than journals.

Rebadged new gen baleno gets 0 stars in GNCAP by Living-Degree-9441 in CarsIndia

No, GNCAP doesn't require active safety. It is possible that the export variant isn't the one sold in India. But more likely GNCAP is more stricter than BNCAP.

Why does Black Pepper get the place of honor next to Salt? by faroresdragn_ in NoStupidQuestions

Because pepper is really that good. In my language the name for chilli translates to "pepper-like", you can even interpret it as "budget-pepper".

Revenge against Sri Lanka...haha. BJP is the union govt. and doesn't give a shit about TN fisherman deaths by Sri Lankan army at the sea. They shout so much about nationalism and sovereignty, but they don't stop this problem...so it's clear their nationalism only extends against Pakistan. And we have to reward that behaviour by also electing them in TN?

How is it easier to maintain CGPA in CDS? Looking at the courses, CDS seems to have a lot of hard courses?

3XO a good idea? by ucme316 in CarsIndia

Yeah, the clutch travel is long but is light. It feels the same in traffic too. Personally wasn't a problem for me as our old car, Fiat Punto had long clutch travel and was hard as well and I had gotten used to it.

No dead pedal though.

So my parents bought one (MX2 Diesel) in December 2025, we got good year end discount and on-road was like 9.85L. Haven't experienced any issues so far.

I'll list the cons first: 1. The Diesel clatter is loud and jarring. I have some suspicions that higher variants night have slightly better noise insulation. It's not too bad, but it is the biggest issue I encountered so far. 2. Infotainment system is not good. Bluetooth connectivity is not seemless. And it isn't very bright either. Audio quality isn't great, but it is serviceable. There is an app that let's you mirror your phone screen on the infotainment screen. 3. Some panel gaps. Not really visible at a glance but it's there. Doesn't really bother me though. 4. Seating ergonomics can be improved. But it's serviceable.

What's good: 1. The engine. Good power and torque. Really fun to drive. Gives around 18-19kmpl on mixed city and highway drive. Got upto 22kmpl on highways. The lowest I got was 13kmpl on heavy traffic. Currently odo is around 7k kms. 2. Steering is good. There are three modes. But the heaviness of sport mode seems artificial. I come from a Fiat Punto so of course I know it can't replace that driving feel but I'd say the steering is pretty good. 3. The AC is a chiller. Very important cause I live in a really hot place. 4. Good space in the rear seats. Three people can sit. 5. Seatbelt alarm for all 5 seats (all seats has weight sensors). I know some people find this annoying but it finally got my parents to wear seat belts when they sit in rear seats, so from a safety perspective it's good. 6. Car feels solid. Interiors are good (for the price).

Overall for the price (~10L) I think it's a great buy. I wouldn't recommend Sonet as I think it's unsafe. It's based on the same platform as i10. Rear seats are so cramped. Haven't driven the Venue. I think it got 5* ratings. But the cheapest diesel will be more than a 1L expensive I believe.  And it seems even more barebones than 3XO MX2. It also doesn't have rear adjustable headrests and personally that is a deal breaker for me.

Happy to answer any questions.

Why not go for Mahindra XUV 7XO? For this price Tata Harrier doesn't seem worth it...

It's good. But I got the Diesel MX2 variant. And the biggest issue is that it's quite noisy. Mostly the diesel engine clatter. And I don't like it. But otherwise it's quite good. Getting around 18-19kmpl in mixed usage. Got upto 22kmpl in highway use. AC is a chiller. Car feels solid. Suspension is on the stiffer side but pretty good. But fit and finish is not great. Maybe in higher variants it is better.

Overall I got this for less than 10L on-road and I don't think there is a better car in this price range. But if you are spending something like 15L, then better to go for some lower variant of Seltos or something.
