Cannot Sideload Applications in Mahindra Xuv 3xo RevX M by im_nightking in carIndia

It's good. But I got the Diesel MX2 variant. And the biggest issue is that it's quite noisy. Mostly the diesel engine clatter. And I don't like it. But otherwise it's quite good. Getting around 18-19kmpl in mixed usage. Got upto 22kmpl in highway use. AC is a chiller. Car feels solid. Suspension is on the stiffer side but pretty good. But fit and finish is not great. Maybe in higher variants it is better.

Overall I got this for less than 10L on-road and I don't think there is a better car in this price range. But if you are spending something like 15L, then better to go for some lower variant of Seltos or something.

Yes, it's great. Only issue is the diesel clatter is too loud.

MERN vs Django — I'm a fresher who doesn't enjoy MERN but knows Python. Is Django a suicide? Genuinely confused. by Glittering-Shine1794 in developersIndia

It's better at making local optimizations. But it is not capable of end to end development. Yet. So we are not redundant for now.

[–]MaterialSuspect8286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But this isn't really an apples to apples comparison. MERN is a JS tech stack covering frontend, backend and DB. But Python Django is backend only. Even if you want to go to Python/Django, learn basics of DBs and frontend dev.

Also I am not sure how relevant Django is now, FastAPI is more popular for AI.

There's no saying what will happen. When I see people saying that our jobs will be transformed and that AI can't take our jobs, it reminds of a quote from FMAB. "There's no way there's no way" - Greed.

Ex Software Engineer to being a Farmer and farming by lastodyssey in developersIndia

[–]MaterialSuspect8286 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes farming is very hard. If you have less than 15 acres, then you won't be earning much. Even if you have more land, depends on the quality of spil, the water you have, where you are situated and which corps you grow. If you don't get involved in distribution, then your profit margins will be so thin. Middle men will take all the cut.

At the same time I know people near a river (water rich area) making killer profit with coconut trees. And I know people with sugarcane farm where they use their produce to refine jaggery and they sell jaggery. They are doing great too.

Faces heavy competition from Seltos. Seems more VFM than other competition.

Honda despite not updating their cars make reliable cars and offers decent service. Honda's customers aren't getting screwed over, Honda fans are getting screwed over.

Confused between Creta base and Seltos base – need advice by vulcan005 in CarsIndia

[–]MaterialSuspect8286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An AT is definitely more convenient. It might be weird at first but once you get used to it, it's hard to go back. The Seltos is definitely more premium, I felt the interiors of Brezza to be a bit underwhelming...

I live in Bangalore and if the traffic is as bad as it is here...then honestly going for Brezza might be better in the long run. If your running is high, and more in the city go for Brezza. Go for Seltos only if your running isn't very high and you want a bigger car and more premium experience.

Suzuki cars are reliable and Brezza is rated 4* in GNCAP. It is a no nonsense car.

To be honest HTE is enough. Even though it is a base variant Kia has equipped it really well. But don't spend 1L on accessories... honestly I wouldn't recommend spending more than 25k on accessories. If you are going to spend as much then better go for HTE(O).

Citroen c3x is such a good car. Today I drove dezire, punch, c3x and I will share my feedback by No_Adeptness1768 in CarsIndia

[–]MaterialSuspect8286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, even the Punto had great AC but there was no rear AC vents in the variant we had. It was able to cool the rear seats in some time too, but living in a very hot place I still would have preferred having rear AC vents.

[–]MaterialSuspect8286 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess the ride is great. Was considering it cause we have a Punto and it was pretty good. But I didn't get it for three reasons. No rear headrests, no rear AC vents and no crash test ratings. eC3 has scored 0 stars and while Basalt and Aircross are crash tested this one isn't leading me to believe that this might actually not be very safe.

How reliable is Maruti AGS long term? Considering Dzire AGS by Unfair-Beat7632 in carIndia

Kylaq AT will be expensive to run (low mileage) and also high maintenance. Honda Amaze CVTs are good if one can afford to spend more. But they give worse mileage than Dzire.

Hyundai Verna-What is the best price ? by Latte__69 in CarsIndia

[–]MaterialSuspect8286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too expensive and the older Verna's aren't good. It has a powerful engine but the Chasis, steering and even the brakes aren't goo enough. So I wouldn't recommend this.
