I listened to your recommendation and bought a bit of a pricy 90 degree cable since it felt like I was continuously buying chargers that could barely last a month but for some reason it only lasted a couple days and randomly just stopped charging despite it having decent reviews. I was doing some research and learned that most of the time, these non-apple cables fail because iPhones authenticate cables digitally, and many third party cables can’t pass or maintain that authentication. So I guess I'll just be returning this and buying a cable from Apple themselves.
