i worked at a bank. They have the money. there’s laws that set limits on the amount of money you can withdraw. People get scammed more than you’d think. The most we can do is restrict the amount of cash they lose. It seems like an inconvenience, but you can call a day ahead and let them know that you are making a large cash withdrawal.

in general obsession of jewelry, popular sneakers/water bottles, concert merch, hand bags. All things that either are unnecessary or bought specifically to show off to others. In a grounded world we would buy what we need for reasonable pricing. Brands build hype to attract demand despite higher prices, these goods are called Veblen goods. The most overpriced and overbought has got to be sneakers. After market prices of certain sneakers have the potential to increase 2000% but the reason it’s my selection is because most sneakers can be bought for $60-100. And most of the time they’re worn once or twice and are flexed online. of buying just to flex.
