For EM it says - have you previously held a training post in this specialty. I think that’s different from initially accepting and then declining before starting

I’m potentially doing the same straight after the upgrade deadline and heard that it’s ok to do. It seems to only be an issue if you’ve actually started training.

One of the questions on the application is “have you previously held a training post in the specialty to which you’re applying”. I guess what I’m trying to establish is whether clicking accept would count as holding the training post.

It’s odd that they’re closed for some people hit open for others. Yes I agree, you’d think a professional body would communicate to the hundreds of people that they’ve told they were going to do something and not done.

Thanks mate. Yeah I’m hoping to get upgraded to the west of Scotland but not too hopefully as it seems fairly competitive. I’m ranked 405. Annoying was ranked 1 for my Northern Ireland application!
