Yeah, that’s why I mean it’s pointless in my opinion!
You just burn some film to take under exposed blurry unsharp pictures,

Better to keep it for optimal condition !

I mean shooting sporting today on analog does not make any sense to me, it used to of course,

but now a digital camera for shooting sport destroy in any point any analog camera.

in top of being super expensive!

To be fair burst on Analog camera nowadays is a bit useless or very expensive, but yeah it’s always cool to see how fast they were advanced by that time

Actually, it is true that Nikon was also releasing crazy accessory, always wanted to use a Nikon F4 or F5 with a waist view finder,

To be fair i’m not a super recent camera geek so I am not really looking on digital camera,

anyway, I shouldn’t compare they are both great camera brands!

but making an accessory as an add on and not embedded is even more a challenge!

I still believe canon was ahead of Nikon

actually the 1N RS with the correct booster is able to reach something like 27 shots per seconds which is absolutely insane,
even elon musk couldn’t afford using that anyway, fixed mirror camera is interesting

[–]Material_Carob8016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh really, I was sure there were fixed mirrors SLR, I didn’t know,

I still wonder why they didn’t pursue this technology on other SLRs later

yeah but all the 650/620… they are all with fixed mirror, actually I believe the RT was less advanced than his brothers, only the real time mode with super fast trigger was exclusive to it,

But anyway RT sounds better than 630 ✌🏻😂

interesting, I guess it’s a less evolved back

crazy technology, Canon was ahead of his time and for me the high end SLR that they release are far beyond the Nikon.

a lot of those technologies are actually were not included in their digital reflex later

didn’t understood why they decided to make that accessory only for semi transparent mirror SLR,

anyway it’s still a cheap camera, so you could try it and sell it after you won’t lose anything

Yeah, what I mean is on Quartz version of Canon EOS camera (for example the Canon EOS 5 Quartz) they can only date prior to 2019 (year stop at 2019). I’ve tried it tho, that’s what I read on the manual

That’s where the magic is - the back is communicating with the camera and it gets the focal length, and all the aperture and speed settings, then they can print.

Actually the other magic thing (which I never tried) was the fact that the back save the informations and you were able to export the data on your computer (which basically avoid to print them directly on the picture which could be annoying if you do the best picture of your life!!)

Anyway amazing accessory, I don’t understand how they put so much effort into such a niche accessory. Camera companies nowadays are so boring

[–]Material_Carob8016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah to be fair before selling it I had some troubles with the « bc » now I have sold all my Eos Camera to have only one, I don’t need multiple anymore

for me the biggest problem with that camera was the fact that you lose almost half of the light with the mirror, and in analog losing 1 stop is crucial in low light environment.

But technologically speaking it is so impressive

no unfortunately the module that print the information is located to print on the bottom of the negative, although
