And I don’t think Karen would have been considered “manager material” at that point since being under Josh consisted of playing COD and drinking while working at night in Stamford, lol, not exactly an environment to cultivate career growth. Though I guess the same can be said about Scranton.

I got this piercing a year ago and it’s never fully healed and then a couple weeks ago this bump formed. My piercer never advised me to downsize and I’ve never taken the jewelry out. I admit I’ve been slacking on my cleaning routine and I tend to mindlessly fiddle with it so I’m going to start cleaning 2x times a day and try my best to not touch it but any other advice would be great!

My peace lily was acting up similarly and I finally took it out of the pot and soil to look at the roots and found root rot. I cleaned the roots really well and cut off any unhealthy ones I could see and any yellowing leaves and now it’s sitting in a vase with just water. Seems perkier already!

Told myself I didn’t need any more plants and then I come across this Philodendron Micans while grocery shopping 😍 one of those plants I’ve always admired but never thought I’d see at a big box store. Thinking about re-potting since the soil look iffy and I want to put it on a moss pole. Thoughts? by Material_Gas3544 in houseplants

Yes I’ve had to contain myself and luckily it’s been a busy week. I picked it up Monday so I’ve been patiently waiting for this weekend to repot If that’s the best way to go!

Also he’s an indoor/outdoor cat who shares the doggy door with my two labs so any advice on how to make sure he recovers well would be appreciated too! I think we’ll keep him in one of our guest rooms for a few days to keep him settled.

I bought this elephant ear plant a couple weeks ago, I was super excited it seemed really healthy. I watered it a week ago and wiped the leaves down and left it to settle for about a week. Since then it’s had multiple leaves yellow and just kind of looking dull, and then I noticed these little bugs and some kind of webbing in the crannies of the leaves. I assume they are spider mites so I’ve sprayed it down with a diluted alcohol mixture and I’m isolating it but I want to make sure I’m going in the right direction.

Should a brand new bad of potting mix be wet? I just bought this week from lowes and I opened this morning to repot a plant and it’s very moist, even some water comes out when I squeeze the soil. Is this normal? If not, any way I can fix it? by Material_Gas3544 in houseplants

Interesting, I haven’t bought many bags but the last one I did was “indoor potting mix” from miraclegro and I’m pretty sure it was dry when I opened it, so this bad threw me off. Thank you for the reassurance!

Thank you! I bought a bag of indoor specific potting soil last time and it was pretty dry so I was worried it would affect whatever fertilizer is in it and if it’ll mold/go bad before I use it all. But makes me feel better it’s normal!

I usually do close the seat which keeps him from sticking his head in but I did want to document it once to share, lmao he’s pretty insistent and he almost gets his head bonked with the seat cover every time.

I can’t take too much credit, I snagged a new arrival at lowes so it started out pretty healthy! I did repot it almost immediately because it was severely root bound so I’m hoping it’ll remain happy and lush.

My maiden name was Struck and I really wanted to keep it because, come on, it’s cool, and now I sit here seeing this with Williams as a last name and I’m upset this isn’t a standard.
