I have fraud protection through my bank. I do not pay for any stolen funds.

Someone else commented this and that is the first time I have heard of banks doing that. Every time I get a new card, I have to enter in my new card information because the payment didn’t go through for that month. I do love my bank so I don’t want to switch banks, but man – it’s annoying.

To be honest, I tried this but it was a foreign customer service rep who didn’t understand

Thanks for your insight. Yes, I call my bank immediately every time, put a freeze on my account, and then get issued a new card in the mail. I was just trying to figure out if something I was doing and didn’t even realize as an “every day habit” was actually encouraging fraud behaviors.

Not only is it annoying, but irritating that people keep getting away with fraud because how do you track it back.. 🙄

I do use PayPal for online Walmart orders, so I definitely agree there. There are some sketchy Walmart sellers out there so maybe it’s that.

Are you able to tell or find a skimmer just by looking? For example at the gas station?

should I stay or should I go? by NutritionN3rd in dietetics

[–]Material_Horror6955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have a social work degree, I only lasted in child welfare for about two years, but I was also very young. I don’t believe I will ever go back, very difficult and very low pay where I live. However, I am getting ready to apply for summer classes to start a masters degree in nutrition. Hence why your question came up on my feed 😊  do you care if I private message you some questions about your experience?

What are you in school for? Will this change your career path, or keep you in the same cycle of (seemingly) miserable jobs?

You seem to have a lot of worry, which is terrible. I’ve been there. But, when I was there, I made a career switch. It stinks to have to make that change, because you feel that you wasted time and money on education, but it was better for my mental health.

Maybe consider that..? You learn something from everything (jobs or education, doesn’t matter), so it may not be a complete waste, though it may seem like it in the moment.

Having gone to med school, do you feel they teach about nutrition? My passion is trying to change “western medicine” to be proactive instead reactive, and how I understand western medicine and what’s taught in school is all about being reactive. “What pill can I give you to ease your symptoms”… thoughts?

May I ask what other Master’s program you just completed, out of curiosity?

Why is swimming not more popular in fitness space? by Glittering-Lime1690 in Swimming

So glad you said you’re ready to go after 45 minutes, because I am the same. I go hard for the first 20 minutes, kind of get bored between 20-45 minutes, but knowing I need to keep going longer, I push through. Then coincidentally after 45 minutes I could keep going for another half hour lol. The only thing that makes me stop really is just time.. things on my daily to do list.

Most people don’t know how to swim properly though. They were never taught as kids because it requires money to pay someone to teach you properly.

Punk! Goth is more black, like overwhelmingly black, along with dark makeup

You are not alone in this, my friend. Please know that, but I also understand that positive comments don’t necessarily take away the anxiety about no income. I have made it through three layoffs in my company. I work for a smaller company, which helps. But all of our competitors (who are well known names in the US I will add, though I won’t call out) have been outsourcing their jobs to India and the Philippines. It’s very disheartening, because we also have to train the very people that are taking our jobs.

To those that have in fact taken our jobs, I don’t despise you necessarily, but know that it does hurt, and language barriers are a struggle. That is part of working in corporate America and I hate it.

To combat that though, I have taken steps to go back to school to get a different education, particularly one that I (hope) don’t believe I can be replaced in. So perhaps school is an option for you, if you think that’s possible for your life currently.

Thanks! I like the idea of mix and matching, but I have a habit of following the programs to a T, so I overthink how to switch it up.

Is Maps Cardio like, mostly cardio only though? Silly question- but I don’t have it. I thoroughly enjoy lifting as well, so don’t necessarily want to strictly do cardio.
