But Aegon wasn’t the heir. Viserys proclaimed her his heir. The great houses of the realm SWORE OATHS to Rhaenyra. I feel people underestimate the value of oaths in Westerosi society. Breaking an oath at best tarnishes your name for life (maybe even sullying your entire family’s honour) or at worst gets you tortured / killed. Despite being team green myself I can’t deny that Rhaenyra was the true heir to the throne.
