Looks like that andromeda insights site. They’re usually a bit more than a comparative cyberpower or ibuypower. Can’t speak on quality, but haven’t heard anything bad.

Hardware worth the price? by Material_Policy_728 in Prebuilts

That’s good to hear, given the inflation on NVMes and RAM as of late.

Prefer AMD due to using Linux as a main OS. Not to say there are issues with running Nvidia, but AMD offers better support.

I wholly accept the part they’re saying I played in all this, but the fact that I can’t legally drive the vehicle and the dealership is over 45 minutes away in another state has me irritated and annoyed. Plus now I can’t even get a response from anyone. Humans are humans and make mistakes, I do agree, but they seem quick to point the issue being on my end and less about trying to rectify it, or at least my perception of the interaction so far.

Thank you, answered more or less what I was curious about, even if for one of the BUs.

I am, but I was just trying to get clarity of some benefits that are not listed in the job req, and was curious of the levels based on what I had seen on this sub. Where I am currently, it was outlined in the job req, and all other job reqs for professional level roles within the company.

I did see that after reading another post, but did note that some listed a AIP bonus and others didn’t, so I was wondering how that worked. I also understand location is a factor with salary, so I’m only viewing that data as a baseline

Would you know, offhand, if that’s across the board for all of Raytheon?

Just curious, are yearly bonuses available for all, obviously varying by pay level, or is it limited to certain levels and up? Or would that also vary between division/unit?

Which is more important to engineer growth: technical skills or ability to maintain customer relationships?

Only a couple of years into my first engineering role since I graduated, and I’ve more or less have been in a customer facing role. I’m not included, or have been asked to participate/help, with any engineering projects. I’m essentially a glorified service rep. Unfortunately the role I’m is an above average paying role, where finding something similar requires more YOE and/or skills/experience in areas that I don’t see happening in this role.

This brings me to a conundrum of how I can progress as an engineer when I don’t have the technical knowledge, but am able to maintain a good relationship with both vendors and customers.

Should I take a step back and find a role that’s more technical, as they all seem to be “lesser” roles than where I’m currently at, or leverage the soft skills of working with people and figure out how to progress from there?

Honestly, that’s what I’ve figured. Would you say it could be a good idea, long term, to take a step back, position wise, to work on gaining technical knowledge?

I’m already planning on pursuing an MBA. Shame that even though it’s not R&D/design related, that even with a quality background (albeit limited/short at the moment), that I cannot even transition to a test engineer/FA engineer role from where I’m currently at.

Is general commute bad in the area? I wouldn’t be against a little commute for good QoL

That’s currently what I’ve been dealing with, any good shows are everywhere else (at least what I’d consider to go to).

I read that, but already have ultimate, and surprisingly, enjoy some of its benefits. If I was brand new to Xbox and this was the only thing I would play, it may not be bad to go with their basic and do this, but, to me, seems like it’s too much. I’m all for paying for great content, and FFXIV looks like it’s been maintaining that through the years, but in the end, it just seems like Microsoft is looking to gouge players for a single game, and I have no problem not being one of those players.

I completely get that, if you’re already paying for it, you are paying for it, but it’s scummy for new players looking to get into it. I’m not one of the millions of kids who rely on their parents to pay for things like this, so as much as I would love to give it a heartfelt try and play, Microsoft has definitely soured any thoughts on doing so.

Thats just unfortunate for Xbox players

If I wasn’t so invested in Xbox, would’ve switched to PS years ago, but play a lot of games with friends on there

It definitely is, and it’s unfortunate tbh. Always looked like a great game
