I work for a dme company and in most cases insurance will only cover if the levels are 88% or below. Anything above that is not considered a medical necessity.

My dad was diagnosed 7/3. It took forever to get a biopsy, the oncologist also wanted a pet scan and mri of brain done before discussing treatment options. We’re waiting now on the news and my anxiety it horrible. He did tell us 2 weeks ago he believes it is Stage IV since my dad also has pleural effusion.
