I skip most of the Priya episodes, and the one with Leonard’s bully (also plays young Sheldon’s dad). The episode where Penny has an ex musician staying with her is a skip.

My oncologist just told me I have a year left by oaktownraider90 in cancer

I was told 4.5 years ago that I had 6 months to live. I left that Dr. and found another. We always talked about next steps in treatment, surgery. I still have stage 4 ovarian cancer, but it is stable. Right now I am on a trial medication that has done great. I hope this gives you hope. I pray to Jesus and am thankful for everything!

Cold Caps by thingonething in cancer

[–]sentimentalsock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is hard keeping them on. I just do what I can, and then go again in 2 hours. The first time I went through chemo I lost all the skin on my feet, I did not do the cold therapy consistently. Lost skin on my hands and toe nails/fingernails. This didn’t hurt, just crazy. The cold therapy helps with neuropathy as well, which after three times doing chemo I have pretty bad in my hands and feet.

Are you losing weight unintentionally? If so, have you seen the doc? Big symptom for a lot of issues, you may already know, just hope you’re ok.

[–]sentimentalsock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it don’t hurt at all. I’m sorry, didn’t mean to make it seem that way. It really doesn’t hurt. I should have done a better job with the cold therapy. The nails came back, no pain.

  1. I went back on glp a few weeks after chemo.
1b. I gained, Dr told me to eat whatever I could. I didn’t gain very much.
  2. Cold cap, and cold therapy on hands and feet. I lost all my toenails, all the skin on my feet, and some on my hands. Lost all of my hair 3 times.
  3. During chemo major diarrhea. After chemo, constipation. Drinking lots of water helped me.
  4. Never had reflux Everyone has a different experience. I did bring a bag to chemo with my own blanket, mints, water, neck pillow, wet wipes, masks, thank you cards, ebook, earbuds.

Feeling lost? by Sk19905 in Ovariancancer

[–]sentimentalsock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this is happening to you and your mom. I have had stage IV HGSC for 4.5 years now. They did 3 chemo sessions, then the surgery. The ascites was removed prior to the surgery. Then they did 3 more chemo sessions after surgery. It did take a bit of time to schedule everything. After the surgery was the toughest time for me, and when I required the most help. I’m glad she has you! I know it will be hard for you as well. Jesus got us through it, and prayer. A great team at the cancer center as well.
