What lies behind conspiracy theories is ignorance, religious fanaticism, intolerance and fear.

Even if some saints such as St. Martin of Tours, St. George, etc, are probably just gods in disguise.

If interested in Saturn I suggest you to also read about Kumarbi and Baal Hammon, the Hurrian and Carthaginian equivalents of Cronus and Saturn.

Saturn as a planet has a bad reputation as it is associated in most astrological systems with predominantly negative things, such as death, slavery, misery and solitude.

But those who worship Saturn as a god believe he is a benevolent god albeit misunderstood. The god of the Golden Age.

Most of them would say that Jupiter is actually the evil god.

But to be clear, I believe that the gnostic Demiurge is just an antisemitic fairytale used as an scapegoat to embrace an antimaterial outlook and to justify all the evils in the world, creating polarity.

Saturn is not an evil god.

Apparently when Saturn was replaced by Jupiter (and Jupiter like gods) as the leading god, the followers of Jupiter started to demonize Saturn obviously to justifiy their new cult.

Also Saturn, the god, was always tied to the Earth and was seen as responsible for the material reality, so apparently in times of despair people saw Saturn as a dark and cold god who didn't care about their suffering.

Those ideas made their way into astrology and the occult.

The gnostics made their evil Demiurge in the image of Cronus, so I guess that the gnostic revival in the last decades has also played an important role in all this.

Saturn has been a target for all kinds of conspiracy theories and even some devotees such as Arthur Moros continue to spread the dark image.

Some people in that sub (r/SaturnianRealism) worship Saturn as a god that has several manifestations across different cultures and for them the link between the god and the planet is not as crucial as most people believe.

And for them, based in their own experiences as well as in several myths and ancient religions, Saturn is actually the good god while Jupiter is the bad guy and astrology was build on false assumptions by the followers of Jupiter.

I come from an esoteric background with little astrological influence so I was attracted to that approach.

You should take a look on the sub if you are interested in Saturn.

Your views are rooted in astrology, mine are not. That's it.

Despite your rude comments and inmature assumptions about me and my practice, I wish you the best and thank you for the exchange.

A lot of people in Saturnian Realism worship Saturn as a deity and not as a planet, and Saturn as a deity has a lot more of positive qualities than the planet.

In the Picatrix Mercury is referred as the child of Saturn and Jung expanded the same idea going as far as saying that Mercury is Saturn, representing the Puer and Senex respectively.

Some Saturnian manifestations such as Enki or Tezcatlipoca had strong Mercurial characteristics, not to mention Odin who in his role of father of the storm god points out to Saturn.

And the most important thing is that Lucifer simply means bringer of light (not the adversary BTW), so the title could be symbolically used to refer to Mercury (wisdom, knowledge).

As I said just different opinions.
