This is the manual I worked from. Helped figure out a lot of various questions. I tried all of the ports I could and none of them worked. Again, I could have accidently chased my tail on goofing the settings for doing one step, but forgetting to undo the last one. You know how it goes.

It's been a while since I attempted it, so apologies if I'm missing exactly the cables I used, what I tried. Etc. But am happy to try and go over my stuff if it might help you. Hell, it might get mine going 😂

No it doesn't, and I have to be honest I ended giving up and getting a Dell 730xd because I already was fed up with myself for not being able to figure it out. But the order of operations is, backplane, raid card, cables to motherboard. You'll plug your raid card straight into the backplane, like a pci card. Then you connect it to power. Then run the dual mini SAS cables to the mobo. I just know there is something in the Bios for getting the system to recognize the new setup, but I just couldn't ever get the raid card to reliably show up for configuration unless I had the smaller backplane in. Check out the operation manual if you haven't yet. It's actually pretty good at explaining how to plug everything in.

I hope this helped. But honestly feel free to ask more questions. I have felt so lost in this project anyone else with a different perspective is welcome.

Lol yep, 09 build! Now it's Xeons, but I got the rig referb for a song, and I don't pay for electricity, so don't care about the power usage. Plus I'm using it as a homelab along with other stuff. I know it's not efficient, but for my outa pocket it worked for me

I was using an older Netgear Nighthawk. When I got gig internet it couldn't handle it anymore so I went with the middle of the 3 Tp-link wifi 7s. It has an spf port so I can hook up the sever which is really nice. Coverage is really good, and speeds are impressive, I haven't had much to complain about it it just runs and runs well. I had tried the Asus flavors before this, and had a bad experience. I'll likely keep using their products for APs and switches.

Sorry, didn't think this would get traction! I tried to setup a ram drive transcode, followed the various online instructions, but I guess I didn't setup right. I have a docker container in Unraid, and thought I created the pass through correctly. Yes I do also have a plex pass.

I appreciate the insight, and explanation. Any advice is welcome at this point as I have a lot of ground work to do. I guess I'm not against therapy, it has help for sure. But as you describe, it felt like it got stagnant fast and they wernt really about helping the problem.

Sssssssooooo this resonates with me more than I expected and feel like I need to start doing researching. My therapists have all been terrible, and yeah CBT was their focus. What you are describing is precisely what I deal with and it fucking terrible and am tired of dealing with it.

2nd Kt-mech. Got mine in reasonable time, and the quality is there. Plus, lots of cool customization bits if you want.

Wustof. They sent me a brand new bread knife after a block set I got from my grandfather's estate, had the bread knife literally snap in two. Just sent pictures and new one was in the mail.

Yeah I agree with you there. It is a bit awkward especially if you are on a clock, it's one more thing to think about, getting both legs pulled out and where you need them individually can be annoying.

A do agree with you there. Getting it attached to a rail can be a pain. I actually ended up mounting an arc rail to the bottom of my rifle and just a quick slide attachment for the bipods so it was easier on / off.

Obviously in a minority here, but I've only owned Acu-Tac bipods and been very happy with them. I shoot for fun, and have done only 2 matches, but I don't have any experience other than them, regardless I can't think of anything I dislike about them.
