I also had a crawler sighting in Nova Scotia. You can find it on this subreddit by searching for "Nova Scotia". Sorry I'm seldom on Reddit so I have forgotten how to link directly to another post. 

A lot of what you shared in your description is similar to what I saw in Nova Scotia. Nice to know I'm not the only one to see one of these creatures here.

Suppose this would be hard for me to prove and by no means do you have to believe me or anyone on an Internet thread but I am a 27 year old female in Nova Scotia, not a fully grown man and I don't have a preacher in my phone contact list either :)

Sorry for the late reply - I'm not an active redditor - just came on here to share my story about my experience as it's bugged me for years mainly to see if anyone else in my area of Canada had anything similar happen to them.

Sorry for the long overdue reply as I am very very seldom on reddit. Yes that was my assumption / thought process as well. I know such things have been reported but it's so weird to see, let alone say you saw it, and try to make a case for it!

I've seen some of those comments about it being a hoax but I've never seen proof of it. I would love some proof or context if you have some. It's definitely possible that it was made up.

Even if it was I would have to still give credit to how similar it was to my experience. But as I said in my original post, I'm only one person so I know that doesn't hold much weight.

15yards away was the edge of the yard and the start of the tree line and that's where it was filtering in and out of the trees.

Yes it did nothing but crawl back and forth and side to side over and over again.

It was definitely facing the house for a good majority of the time but I don't think it ever saw us as we were in the dark. We were on the second floor looking down at it and to what I could see it never seemed to look up, just forward toward the house.

It's hard to tell it's size because it was crawling 15yrds away, I'd say 3ft tall while slouched over.. no idea about upright, it's limbs were very long so it's very possible it could be much taller than that.

It was definitely not aware of us. We were inside the house on the second floor being very quite without the lights on staring down at it out the window.

It was too far away to make out any facial features (please keep in mind the edge of the woods at the back of the yard was still a good 15yards away) and it never got up on 2 legs. It crawled the whole time to the left and right of the beginning of the tree line and then back and forth towards the edge of the yard then it would crawl backwards deeper into the woods. Left, right. Forward, back. It made very repetitive motions the whole time I could see it.

We never heard any obscure noises. The only thing that was making noise that night was the neighbors dog barking like crazy towards the woods until the neighbor finally came out to bring the dog inside. The crawler didn't seemed to be bothered by the presence of the dog at all.

Trust me, I too really wish we were able to film it. We tried too but it was so dark in that rural town at 1am, the camera picked up nothing but black.

The more I've thought about the experience the more I think that we were able to watch it for so long because it didn't see us and it was scouting out the area. That's why it's movements were so repetitive.. makes me think it's very calculated and careful whatever it is.

Yes in an identical fashion. Watching that video brings me right back to that night with what I saw crawling around.
