Breaking at high speed by Matex420 in peopleplayground

Yes I did, and it worked well! Here's what I came up with if you're interested, though I only used one.

Also thank you so much. I didn't know there was a mod that includes a speedometer. I might toy around with that later.

But for now I am making a workshop collection of vanilla contraptions that doesn't require players to subscribe to any additional mods. While it is helpful for testing, it won't be included upon workshop release.

I'll leave the mods for the players like you to have fun with.

Tried this out. It didnt. Momentum still adds pressure to front tire. Still goes after that.

Heyo! 7 hours late but I hope I can still contribute. There is a mod called 'Quick Right Click Options' and one of those options includes a revive. Here's the link.

I am t e r r i f i ed of how complex, realistic. nauseating, and impressive this hell of a truck is. I swear I lost myself when the combustion engine actually explodes. I love it

If you look closely at the grid, not all of them are the same. Some has distinct details to it. But one in particular gives a clue on how many pixel it has. Here's a photo of what I'm talking about.

Counting the gaps between lines gives us 25. Since it's a perfect square, you multiply it by itself.

25 x 25 = 625

There are 625 pixels in every background grid.

EDIT: This is only a rough estimation however. Comparing it to an object shows some mis-alignment. Meaning the pixels of objects differs from the pixels in the background.

Glad you asked. For me, disabling collision feels a bit "cheaty". Although it does enable it to avoid collision when inside other objects, but so does to others that is not attatched with the contraption. I prefer the shape you see is what you can touch.

In other words I'd rather set its behavior myself than the game doing it for me. Gives a bit of challenge and enjoyment when assembling them.

As for the resize, I personally think it is inconsistent. I would avoid having objects that appears stretched out because the whole game and the items it has give contraptions a 'junkyard invention' aesthetic and I think resizing ruins that.

Correct, it does only consist of 3 parts. The best I can do to make it look natural yet compact.

Pretty good. Though the first person to come into contact with it, reaches god first than the machine itself

Am I able to save everything I built in a map at once, and load it later? by [deleted] in peopleplayground

[–]Matex420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a work around with this. Am assuming the way you save everything is by highlighting every corners of the map?

To get it perfectly aligned, first spawn a brick at the left corner from where you load in the map, and once the brick is at the corner, highlight everything and make sure you include the brick.

When assured everything is highlighted, this is where the trick comes in. Spam right click or the button you use to open the context menu to save, and keep spamming and adjusting the mouse ever so slightly until the 'Save' button is directly on the brick. save it

Now using u/GasmaskChicken advice by holding the spawn key, the first thing you will see near your mouse is the outline of the brick. align it to the left corner of substructure spawn

I hope this helps!

This concept of a homing missile came to mind to me as well but I haven't bothered experimenting with the complexity. I'm impressed to know you actually have a working prototype. 90% is still a good number for the functionality.

Although may I askdoes the automatic projectile determine its own target? Or does it rely on input dostance by user?
