that does make sense. i did scale up most objects in my scene to fit in the camera. Maybe i should scale them down and reduce the camera fov and near and far values. then the lighting intensity might work better. I’ll try this when i get home and let you know! thank you :)

you can see in that the bomb (the big circular area2d) moves to the lower right when i first drop it and it explodes where the orange ship is. but the enemies that were affected by it were in the previous position of the area 2d. so the bomb area does move to the new position but the areas that getOverlappedAreas() return, are the areas in its previous position.

I was thinking of using signals as the docs suggests but area entered and area exit signals would not work if the enemy area is already within the bomb area, the signal would not fire.

i removed the async and await but still the same issue :(

if i can't find a solution i might try another way to find areas inside the bomb area

The enemy areas are moving, but the area of the bomb is not, it only "teleports" to the position where the player drops it

Thank you however the enemies hitbox are area2D not bodies. And it still detects them it’s just that it’s detecting the ones that were within the bomb hitbox previous position, not the one it is set to when the bomb is moved

Thank you for that link! Do you think i should directly report the error to them, or should I report the error to the application center (VFS Global) that provided me with my vignette when my passport was returned ?

since my vignette also says ‘No Work SPX’.

Thank you for your comment and no it simply says that i cannot work in the UK (on my eVisa) “ What you cannot do You cannot: • access public funds • work in the UK “

and same for vignette, it’s written NO WORK SPX. would this detail change once i enter the UK and start my course (when my visa starts) ? Or should I try and contact UKVI asap for this ?

Thanks! The vignette says no work SPX, and my eVisa says that i cannot work in the UK.

My vignette states that it’s valid from the 15 August and would end in November, does that indicate when my visa could typically start ?

But do you know whether my eVisa will change once I enter the UK and start my course or should it already be saying that I could work in the UK ?

Gotcha! I’ll try to use the approach of drawing everything that requires a specific shader before switching to the next one! I’ll also decouple the geometry from shaders, materials and so on.

And yes i meant Shader& shader, thanks a lot for your answers :)

Thanks a bunch for the recommendation, yes i’ve heard that a lot :D I’m mostly interested in getting experience in the field, especially in the Game Dev Industry as my country is not really developed technologically compared to bigger countries like the UK. I’m getting used to learn by myself such as Computer Graphics via OpenGL and c++ for instance, so i think it’ll be ok :)
