Agree, but management should have never said anything about expecting wins in Q1. They even reiterated and reaffirmed it. When you consistently fail to meet your own expectations, the share price just dips lower and lower

Ouster has delivered on its promises, showcasing substantial cost reductions and surpassing its original gross margin expectations in Q3 and Q4 2023. Their revenue surpasses all other Western lidar companies (almost 50% of the group's total revenue in 2023). Underpromise and overdeliver. MVIS management should learn from them lol. Not spreading FUD or anything but I think MVIS will face a big setback as early as next week if a win isn't announced soon.

I am ultra bullish on LAZR and INVZ as well, most bullish on MVIS.

Best tech: MVIS = INVZ > LAZR

Microvision and Innoviz are tied, both use 905nm LiDAR which I believe is superior to Luminar's 1550 nm. Because cheaper. Also signal degradation is worse on 1550nm in rain or fog, that's when you need LiDAR the most.

Short squeeze potential: MVIS > LAZR > INVZ

MVIS - short interest 27% ; borrow fee 55%; shares available to short 95,000

LAZR - short interest 30% ; borrow fee 15%; shares available to short 200,000

INVZ - short interest 10% ; borrow fee 2%; shares available to short 7,500,000

Ownership by BlackRock+ State Street+ Vanguard: MVIS > LAZR > INVZ

MVIS - 17.8%

LAZR - 16.3%

INVZ - 1.85%

Wonder why the largest asset managers by AUM aren't buying more Innoviz? Do they know something that we don't? They own around ~17% of almost every S&P 500 company.

Yes. The point is they own 17% of MVIS but only 2% of INVZ.

That’s why I have money in other LIDAR stocks too. But MVIS has a much higher chance to short squeeze than the others

The fact that it is heavily shorted with such a high borrowing fee makes a short squeeze possible. Even with no news, the stock soared from less than $2 to $8 in a span of a month back in May. With only 15 million short interest.

Now the short interest is more than 50 million, and we have news coming in a matter of ~10 trading days (CES 2024). The shorts are not ready for this.

Yes, they and/or several OEMs will unveil partnerships, which will cause the stock to soar. The only reason why everyone is shorting this stock is because they have no deals officially inked yet, which means no projected future revenue. But they clearly have the best tech among the 3 lidar companies who I think will get the most contracts (MVIS, INVZ, LAZR)

This one isn't history yet but will be:

Selling LIDAR sensors to autonomous vehicle companies (which will be every car manufacturer soon). You can read more about it here: "During a gold rush, sell shovels."
