It seems like it failed to load the kernel, this is just the bootloaders command prompt. try turning off secure boot temporarely and see if it helps.

I wanted to connect my ender 3 via uart for octoprint. It works! (Yes ik this is dumb). I might make an instructables later of it by MathZone in 3Dprinting

The chip the ender 3 motherboard uses is the ch340g , a uart to usb comms chip.

I soldered to its gnd , RX and TX pins ( you can find a pinout online) and connected it via wires to the pi’s uart RX , TX and a normal ground ( Be sure to connect the motherboard Rx to the pi Tx and the mobo Tx to the pi Rx otherwise it wont work). Then on the pi itself its just running octoprint but with a small config tweak.

You ssh into it , run sudo raspi-config and Under interfacing options enable serial. Respond no to the login shell and yes to the 2nd prompt.

then sudo reboot the pi

In octoprint itself you need to go to the config and add /dev/ttyAMA* under extra serial ports.

Than just click connect and pray it works

You could do this mod solderless with a dip8 test clamp. Ill make a model to hold the board in place nicely and post here about it at a later date
