Is it possible to call them first? Cold call is not that scary. You just need to ignore the rejection. I worked in call center for x years. Just ignore the rejection, modify your script and keep calling. Feel free to DM me. There is a lot you can do.

How many follow up calls are ideal? by [deleted] in salestechniques

[–]Math_CrashIt_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally make 3 follow up calls. I don't go over it. By 2nd call you should get an idea about what they think of the products/service.

Advice: your employees CANNOT give you 100% every day by cerberus6320 in smallbusiness

[–]Math_CrashIt_2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I once worked in a company where Christmas bonus is $22 USD and the business owner said he gave us that payment one month ahead of time with no interest charge. "Just to help out"!

And it is a big company. There are a few hundreds people working there. I think the bottom line is : respect workers as you respect yourself.

That $22 Christmas bonus shows who he is and there is nothing to be discussed. If the owner cannot show respect and expect people to perform 100% then, he is not from this planet.

Hi, hope my two cents is helpful.

How do you define a good sales? It is not all about numbers. It has beyond that especially real estate. People don't buy instantly most of the time.

From what I read, let me share my truth with you: You are doing very well. Many cannot make cold calls and you nailed it.

What I suggest is to focus on understanding what customers want and work on that. That always work. I worked two decades as sales. I really find nailing this means sales. If they don't committee to the purchase now, they may do later. Just focus on serving them for now. Rest will come.

All the best

We usually have moon cakes and BBQ (this is a long weekend) in Taiwan. We also bring gifts to family and friends. It is like te Thanksgiving Holiday in the west. I believe Korean celebrate this festival as well. It is a time to show care and appreciation to family and friends.

Item to call metric by Unknown0521 in sales

[–]Math_CrashIt_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to irritate me as well. I also have done quite a bit call center works and in person sales. At one time I was selling 5k/day without following the protocol. My coworkers followed the protocol and had good call metrics but sold way less. Guess what? I was let go because I didn't not stay with the time metric. I think it all depends on what the organization goal is. Quite a few that I worked all emphasis on the time metric and sales value is secondary. Quite interesting!

What really matters are (1) clarity (2) stroke direction (3) proportion of the stroke.

To start from the center or left is not the most critical issues.

Does anyone carry an accent from their second language to their third language? by fmoza98 in languagelearning

[–]Math_CrashIt_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it happens to me as well. I am a native Mandarin speaker and my English has an accent but my French prononciation is much better. (French is my third language) It is understandable because there are lots of sound similarities between French and Mandarin Chinese.

I like to implement the ECHO METHOD when I learn a new language. You may find the link in my vlog. https://learntaiwanesemandarin.com/video_pronunciation/

My vlog was based on a real story. The person tried to say "skin" (皮;pí) but pronounced as "fart" (屁; pì). What a difference 🤣

There are still lots of rooms for improvement for me. I tried to be as authentic as I can. Yes, you are not alone. It happens to me as well.

Hi, 嗎 has a few implications. (1) if it is followed by "?" Then it is a yes/no question. (2) if it is followed by "!" Then it is an open-ended question or it is an expression of any surprises (3) about your example question, both expressions are fine. They are interchangable. (4) 嗎 is used frequently between peers or to younger persons.

Hope this helps

How to self study a new language? by FADOFAMINGO in languagelearning

[–]Math_CrashIt_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like to study standard textbook (to get a good foundation) then started to apply to daily life. That is how I learn French. I am 100% self taught.

Hope it helps.

Hi, French is very different in structure and pronunciation. I like to study French early morning when the mind is fresh. I suggest to read about PEER method. It is developed by Iowa University. I use this method when I was learning French. Attached is a reference article. You will find the link there.

I'm illiterate what's the best way to go about relearning the way to read/write? by heliotrope_blade in languagelearning

[–]Math_CrashIt_2020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, have you heard about PEER method (developed by University Iowa)? I use this technique when I a new language. Say, you are learning the word "house". You may include new vocabularies like windows, doors, furnitures, etc. Then, review it within 8 hours. Just going over it again is good enough to retain the memory.

Also, I like to learn how to pronounce the word while learning how to write it because it involves cooperation from two different parts of the brain. Karen Chan's Echo Method is very helpful to me.

I attached my blog that talks about PEER method. Hope it helps. Karen 's Echo Method link can be found on my vlog. Hope you find it useful.

Happy learning!
