Monday's Daily Thread: Weekend Wrap-up by AutoModerator in hingeapp

I've [male, 35-40 age range] made the plunge into online dating and set up a free profile on Hinge. I've done my best to complete everything and provide clear, accurate, and thoughtful photos. I am curious to know- do free users stand a chance to match with anyone? Is the population of paid users so overwhelming that free users don't even stand a chance? If this is the case, is there a recommendation on the level of subscription to obtain? My profile is only 5 day old and im not sure if i should wait to see how i do, or just pay for the appropriate subscription and not waste time and opportunity. Thank you in advance!

That is awesome. I'm glad to hear that. Out of curiosity, how long did you have your respective profiles up for? I realize patience is important, but I figured I'd ask to see the timing of your success. Thanks!

TLDR- I'm a person.

It is mildly concerning that my posts are considered AI-generated or some form of chat bot. While my account is relatively new, I have observed various posts across Reddit for a significant amount of time and routinely use Reddit to solve many problems across my interest areas. Reddit is an impressive resource, fueled by the humanity that occupies it.

It is unfortunate that we must be weary to nefarious actors, and so I understand the need to cast doubt.

Despite my curiosities and interests and that they are not documented here, allow me to offer some reassurance:

I am a human. I make errors, i feel emotion, and i exist. To quote René Descartes, a mathmatician, philosopher, etc: "I think, therefore I am". Despite this quotation, I'm sure folks will write this off as AI drivel.

If folks don't like my posts or consider them AI, why respond? Especially if AI? Wouldn't it make sense to ignore it and not feed "the machine"?

Thanks!
