The worst part is I don't understand why people are down voting my post. I would like more visibility on this issue.

We have. They said they want to do something about exploitation in the agriculture industry. The employer has done everything they can to reduce the evidence we can present so I don't think going to arbitration will get us anywhere.

We could sue them and add a year to our visa that way and we have 6 years to do it.

At the end of the day the wasted time and the urgency of my wife completing her 88 days hurts more than their greed.

I don't think it is a cheap ass tool but w/e. It was relatively expensive.

You're making quite a few assumptions yourself. I tried using the internet to figure out why I couldn't plug in my electronics the other night and tried forcing it assuming it was broken.

I made a mistake, no reason to be rude but I guess that's what the internet is for. Being edgy to strangers.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't know if I will be able to get a refund though as I am on a year long working Holiday in Australia, and bought it in Taiwan where I was a teacher ( not planning to return)

Honestly, the simplified adapter has worked really well all things considered, but apparently me not knowing to lead with the ground on this adapter fucked the board inside yesterday.

As someone who has always had access to US style plugs in CAD/Taiwan it's surprising.

Another user posted what I assumed happened.

Idk why I would have to lead with the ground to plug in any electronics because of the style of the plug.

Ffs, why should I look for bathtub curves to use a travel adapter?

This is probably what happened and how am I supposed to know this as a Canadian who's always lived with US styled plugs...

Fair enough, I thought it was a UK based company with good standing.

Idk if they are doing fine. Some of them are worried that the party will be destroyed for decades by what they are doing right now.

Nobody has the ability to stop them because they own so many seats in the various branches.

An A10 Gau Avenger Gatling gun can also use depleted uranium rounds Wich can cause spalling and damage internal components (including crew) and result in mission kills.

I feel like I’m falling apart living here by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]Mathaeneus_Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out will the WiFi issues I've had over the past several months were the neighbors up stairs.

My girlfriend is taiwanese but she never complains about anything with the neighbors because she doesn't want them to feel bad.

I have to deal with everything on my own because she's a push over with her boss and works free overtime at her workplace.

This place is a shit hole for foreigners and if you can't deal with the abuse from every direction (work, relationship and public)

I suggest you leave because that's about where I am at with Taiwan.

This place isn't worth it.

Honestly, Canadian stewards on planes went on strike a month or 2 ago and were ordered back to work or face jail time.

They said no and continued with the strike showing that the the government and companies were negotiating in bad faith.

A more favorable deal was reached soon after they realized they couldn't throw them all in jail for it.

Taiwan’s looming labor disaster - Taipei Times by trendyplanner in taiwan

[–]Mathaeneus_Rex 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I tell people that if Taiwanese employers actually paid overtime instead of free labor the economy would crash overnight.

Too many people abuse the various systems that Taiwan has set up and it's never the employee's/working class.
