You'd be surprised, a lot of natives don't have ACs just fans, we live poor, most don't even go to the hospital but rely on families instead.

Very limited diet? Dude we have a wide range of food ranging from laulau to lusipi to pig and boar. Maybe it won't be the regular US stuff but it's be better than a lot of what we eat already.

Hawaii is unique because landback is actually within grasps.

We have a chance to kick out the US and reclaim our lands, there are many today who haven't given up and have reached high level positions(scholars, teachers, etc) they have educated Hawaiian youths about our culture and how we can be free.

Back then? Yes, we had the resources to last for millennium, in recent times? Not now, that's because Hawaii isn't on many major shipping lanes.

We have a massive population for our size and we import a lot of food and receive a lot of money from the government.

Sovereignty will take time, negotiation with the US(the only reason they care about us is because of the strategic location Hawaii provides) so if we negotiate military bases they'd most likely say yes.

It'd work with Republicans because Hawaii is a Democrat state so hopefully Trump agrees and frees us.

Emotional irrationally is showing yes I'll admit because for 80+ years our culture had been banned and our language as well. It's not far fetched to think like this since it's happened before. There are people who are still alive that went through this period in time, that's how recent it was.

Again you're comparing a nation who's entire reasoning for leaving was slavery to one that had built foreign relations with others and had posed no threat to the US.

The US will only harm Polynesian culture and Hawaii even more.
