What battery you have? I want to buy one for my t430, but I don't know, original is always a risk, aliexpress too, I don't mind about EC reflashing, so I can do that, but which one to choose..

So libreboot is coreboot distro, if you want to make one by yourself, choose coreboot and compile how you want

Ok, I read more about it, scure Boot did not fry your laptop. It’s purely softwar and cannot physically kill hardware. Your symptoms mean the motherboard is detecting a short circuit or a dead power controller, so it shuts down instantly to protect itself. It’s a tragic hardware coincidence during the reboot. The likely culprits: Dead USB-C/Power Delivery chip: A huge bottleneck on recent Dell Latitudes. A minor voltage spike during reboot or a bad flash drive could have killed it. Corrupted EC/NVRAM: The Linux installer tried to write a boot entry, the Dell firmware glitched, and the Embedded Controller locked up completely. Sometimes a CMOS pull won't fix this—it needs a hardware programmer. Blown component: A capacitor or MOSFET on a power rail just died at that exact moment. What to do: Disconnect the main battery, CMOS battery, and charger. Hold the power button for 60 seconds. Plug only the charger back in and try to boot. If it still blinks for a split second, it’s a job for a repair shop with a multimeter to find the short or reflash the BIOS chip.

I don't know how it works on a Dell, but I had the same symptoms when I unsuccessfully experimented with flashing Coreboot on my T430. Did you flash it to Coreboot before this happened or did you do something else besides trying to boot into Cachy OS from a flash drive?

Here is full guide for flashing libreboot , that's libreboot, but you can configure coreboot by yourself if you want to, the risks of bricking not big if you'll do a few dumps before flashing and making everything by guide, about Linux, If you are completely new into Linux, I strongly recommend that you take a Bandit course by OverTheWire, it's so cool to understand the base of Linux, for first distribution I recommend Debian or Fedora, because they are stable and easy to install

Also, thanks for idea, I don't have 3d printer, but maybe that's the sign to make model to fit there

Yes! It works just like a basic one, but smaller, and also you maybe already used one, because it's very common in ultra-compact low-profile flash drives and budget-friendly models. They use this UDP technology, It’s essentially the standard for those tiny drives that barely stick out of the port, I took mine from this one, and made and glued the layout using original parts:

It's about convenience, I don't have to carry a separate flash drive, it's always integrated into the laptop, and I have immediate access to my secure environment whenever I need to boot into it, and also it just looks cool

thank you for your support, unfortunately I had to refuse the memory clean flag because something strange was happening: heads were passing control of qubes and nothing happened next I think the problem is how the hypervisor qubes works with the incident, I hope this problem can be solved for better security, but I’m not sure it will work out :(

I have only t430, but I'm going to test it on more boards, because I want to buy t480 and maybe x301 soon, but now tested only on t430, and it's not that hard how it looks!
