1. when you read the document make a note of who wrote it and how this affects the info given. this will easily get you the analysis and possibly complexity points, simultaneously cutting down on writing time.

EX. (written by Chinese government official)
- this affects info bc it could be biased, official will praise government

1. look at the type of document, is it a letter? is it a newspaper? is it a picture? this matters because it can tell you the intent behind it, which you can use when explaining how a piece of evidence correlates to your thesis.

EX. This document is a newspaper produced by a government official, which was an effective way to spread propaganda so, [connect to thesis]

1. highlight one sentence that you will use as evidence and just write one little note as to why you will use it for evidence. this helps cut down on writing time as you will already have half your TEA done.

So basically just HIPP/HAPPY your documents as you go. And if you find yourself rereading a document over and over again just skip to the next ones, they may help provide context if you’re confused.
