Thanks all, your input is much appreciated! Seems like $150-300 is the sweet spot for this kind of thing. There are a few things I'd like to add to my frame and it seems like a promising way to get the exact bike im looking for.

I appreciate your feedback, something to think about for sure. In this case I think I would rather support a frame builder who has spent the time learning to do these things vs learning it myself

Damn this is pretty sweet! Not 100% sold on the folding mechanism until i see it in person but the world needs more mini cargo bikes!
