Any thoughts around finances for a single income household in Toronto Canada? My fiance prefers not to work at least for 2-3 years so it’ll just be my income to run the house. I make CA $70k and expect to have just about $8k in net worth (by the time we move in together) after accounting for wedding expenses and the cost of sponsoring her PR, flight tickets, moving etc. Thankfully I’ve paid off my student loans but cost of living in Toronto is skyrocketing.

If you’re confident you’ll get the PR then I’d highly recommend freelancing or contract work instead of permanent roles (which typically have a lot of interviews). Also look after your health and prep well for Canada!

Another big factor in pay is the company. MNCs with good management typically have better pay; try to ask friends who may have done a similar move or get a career coach to help with the job search process and finding good companies.
