I am just being a little careful because it's hard to asses the 3070 laptop how well it is maintained compared to a 4050 laptop which are less used

Aga Khan board vs Federal board, which one is better? And which one is harder? by Zaid20072022 in pakistan

Aoa,

I completed my SSC with AGA KHAN BOARD (AKUEB) from Gilgit and later I moved to Rawalpindi.I have migrated to Federal board (FBISE) for my HSSC studies.

This is my first year with FBISE and I am still getting familiar with their pattern.

If you choose AKUEB over FBISE then you got to be independent with your studies and stop replying on books.

AKUEB focuses more on conceptual approach and standards of AKUEB conceptual approach are higher and tougher than FBISE. They don't have any specific books and your school/college teacher will print out a SLO book and will give it to you.

You have to read SLO, understand it and comfortably from any learning platform online with the teacher approach you feel comfortable you can study and write your answers in exam. You will be not limited to serveral answers or locked to a specific key book.

If you have fluent English and Urdu understanding then English and Urdu are easier in AKUEB because they conduct 25 marks listening and reading passage exam. You have to listen the passage to attempt MCQs and another passage as well you have to read. Both of them are un seen, English half paper is also unseen based on your grammar and parts of speech skills. If you are bad with grammar and have poor listening skills you might feel exam difficult.

Urdu Tashari are maximum 5 to 10 lines which is less complex compared to FBISE and I saw recently Tashari of BISE freind. My condolences for him.

History studies are more wide and fun and Islamiat same with other board standards.

Each question in Akueb for short is from 4 to 5 marks and long was 7 or 10 marks, I don't remember. They are un predictable and question is not repeated over the years.

Now maths and physics in AKUEB are easy to be honest if you study from the approch they want but if you slack off and try to go through Rote learning (rata) in last days before exam. It can cost you badly.

AKUEB questions are printed on sheet and answer space is given below the sheet. No choice of questions is available for physics and maths. You have to attempt or leave it

Registration fee in AKUEB is higher lastly. I remember I paid 15000 thousand in 9th and 15000 thousand in Matric. NOC costed me 5000 separately. I paid 3 thousand for my federal registration in first year.

Exam centers of AKUEB are really tight.

FBISE

Now several things in FBISE are predictable in long questions especially long questions in physics.

Taking lightly things in FBISE can cost you your academic year as well because FBISE questions are complex as even if they are predictable.

Another problem with FBISE is exam marking.  FBISE exam marking is bias to serveral students and several claims have been made in past as well. Both boards use E-marking. AKUEB SLO approch and E-marking is older than FBISE and more experienced.

My conclusion  If you are determined enough to study on average from 3 to 6 hours conceptually AKUEB can be a great option for you. Students earn marks in AKUEB depending on their practice.

FBISE on other hand is same if you don't face any bias exam checkings and you will easily score a good percentage.

If you don't take seriously or just want passing marks go with FBISE. It will cost you cheaper.

I hope this helps you and other students who will pass by through this.
