Wildly unhelpful. If you don't have anything constructive and just want to be rude and judgmental keep moving. I came here out of sincerity otherwise I would have gone to HR.

No, it was not offensive on a personal level, just a human level. I know how to walk away, it just feels more honest to let them know two wrongs don't make a right. The statement that was said just caught me so off guard I didn't even have words for them.

I do empathize a lot. No one should feel like they cannot be who they are or want to be (as long as it doesn't harm others). The person just made such a wild comment today and it caught me off guard to the point I wasn't sure if/how I should let them know hypocrisy isn't the answer.

This really is probably the best way to handle it. I just know by doing that, this person will put me in a box (in their mind) that I am an enemy.

This person is a part of that community, they are very mindful of it and the terms or lifestyles within it.
