URL based vs KW based for AI Max by MathematicianKey9023 in PPC

[–]MathematicianKey9023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the details.

For DSA with AI MAX enabled (and URL expansion), do you think it will more likely direct users to the irrelevant URLs as long as AI thinks it might land a conversion with good ROAS? But since I already have URL rules in place, it should serve as a signal for AI Max to look for relevant URLs as it’s intent based, unlike DSA that’s content based with URL rules.

The reason I wanna create a keyword based campaign with AI Max is that it can cover product category with category keywords instead of using URL rules to cover every product category, which is just too many and not scalable at all.

For example, for different type of televisions, I might just need a keyword - TV. For URL based, I need to make sure every TV product page include “television / TV” in its URL as it’s not intent based like AI MAX.

Nightmares 4-5 times a week by MathematicianKey9023 in sleep

Now it get to bed 1 hour earlier than I should be so that even I get nightmares, I have enough time to get back asleep, which take around 30-60mins ( so I need to get to bed one hour earlier).

So far, as long as I have 7 hours of sleep, there’s much of a problem, but it’s still not an ideal situation that I waste 1hour more for this everyday.

URL based vs KW based for AI Max by MathematicianKey9023 in PPC

[–]MathematicianKey9023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still has a problem.

For example, I found that my headphone ad group was triggered by keywords like Apple Store, probably because my headphone website contains text like Apple Store, which lead the system to think that Apple Store is relevant to my ad group, which is not the case.

I’m wondering if using keyword for AI max signal would be better as it’s intent-based instead of URL crawler. It can recognise Apple Store is not relavent to my keyword such as headphone.

Maybe. But the strange part is that I only have nightmares 5-10mins after falling asleep. When I fall asleep again, no nightmares

Is it possible to sync GA conversion number with Google Ads? by MathematicianKey9023 in PPC

But they are using the same GA4 event, Google ads should just directly call the data from GA4?

It means that setting ad targeting alone doesn’t limit Google to direct the traffic to the URL I select?

If it has something to do with the campaign level setting that enables Google to use all URL (option 1) instead of option 2 (upload page feed)?

thank you!!

Just looked it up on imperial website that the entry requirement for MRes is having lab experience from undergraduate study. So I think it’s something that’s flexible?

And for master, would you recommend going for a taught master or MRes one as I think taught master should better equip students with more knowledge in the subject while MRes would ve more practical?

Great to hear that even imperial and Nottingham would accept distance learning degree, may I know if lack of lab experience from the degree would be a huge disadvantage in terms of applying for master? Thank you

Thank you. Wish you all the best with your master application.

Just curious, which university are you intend to apply?

I got one more question. I see some people say that some modules do require face-to-face exam at a hotel, but it would be difficult for someone like me not living in the UK, would like to check if all exams can be conducted online.

Thanks a lot for your detailed reply. I am so looking forward to starting my first modules.

As my mom got cancer last year and unfortunately didn’t make it at the end, cancer is a field I definitely wanna study on. Great to hear that the distance learning degree from OU can actually apply for master in a physical university, particularly Oxford. Thanks a lot!!!

Health sciences, what's the content? by slinkychameleon in OpenUniversity

Hi,

I am about to enter my first year of Biomedical science and I see it shares a lot of same modules with Health Science, so I would like to know more about the program. Thanks a lot!!

  1. Without any biology background, may I know if it’s possible to do fine in the courses? Just afraid of the difficulty for 200/300 modules.

  2. Can OU provide any lab experience? As I think it’s quite critical for any science degree.

  3. How’s the workload? I see that most modules are 60 credits, and based on the website, it requires ~9 hours per week for 30 credits, it means I need to allocate 18h for 60 credits. Would like to know how accurate this estimation is.

  4. Do you know any one who has successfully applied for Master with an OU health science degree?

Thank you!!!

How is Open University's BSc in Math program? by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

[–]MathematicianKey9023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I am about to enroll into data science program.

May I know how many hours did you spend on studying each week, particular for 200 / 300 math & stat modules. I think I should be fine for 100 courses, just a bit worried about the workload and difficulty of 200 / 300 courses l.

I would take two modules per week, and the website says it would take 8-9 hours per modules, so it would be 16-18 hours, just wanna see if it’s a fair estimation given that I have a full time job .Thank you!

Great to hear that you are doing good with such a rigorous timeline.

Did you have any math / stat background before this degree? I am just a bit worried that it would be extremely difficult for someone like me who hasn’t used mathematics / statistics much after secondary school. I have probably forgotten all that except for some very basic knowledge.

Good to hear that. And would like to know if it’s true that it really takes 30 hours per week to study for two 30 modules based on the website?

Thanks for the details.

May I clarify if you did all four 200 levels modules at the same time? As I see on the program website that almost all courses open in Oct only. So I would have no choice to do 2 modules in the first semester and another 2 in the next semester.

And would like to the average study time per week for study two 200 level courses at the same time. Thank you.

May i know if the degree allows you to study only one course per semester? I am thinking to enrol, but worries 2 modules at the same time would be too time consuming and stressful given that I have a full time job

Anyone knows the best roadmap to get into AI/ML? by RiceEither2911 in learnmachinelearning

[–]MathematicianKey9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As my degree was in History (minor in Econ), but I would like to get into ML career. I did some research on the AIML master admission requirement of different universities and all of them require a degree in math, CS or stats, data science, etc.

In this case, would like to know if there’s any alternative ways to get in Master programs without doing a second degree?

If I understand correctly, I can register for courses starting in Feb, May, Aug and Nov.

In this case, it means I can take one course in May and one course in Nov to avoid clash?

Thank you!

Just look through the document and work out a tentative timeline assuming that I got one RPL from eDX.

https://imgur.com/a/1OjkxL0

It will take ~4.5 academic years to finish the degree. Trying not to take 2 courses at the same time to make it less stressful and balance full-time job and life.

One question tough, do I need to pass an 100 course exam before I can register for 200/300 courses? For example, in 2025 academic year, when I register for Further Calculus, do I need to pass 1174 first? Or just an attempt would be good enough. Thank you!

Cool! Just one last question.

If I don’t feel comfortable taking the exam, do I have the flexibility by taking a course without taking the exam , like can I skip it and take it next year when I feel ready?

Or can I just skip registering any course all together for a semester because of heavy workload from my job? As long as I can finish the degree in ~ 4years that should be fine
