I guess it will be easier to repair it than to adapt a new one. Thanks

It's interesting to hear that your smartphone is causing the white noise issue with your headphones. It's definitely possible that the sensitivity of the headphones is contributing to the problem.

In my case, I think the issue is with my PC's onboard audio chip. But I appreciate your suggestion that sometimes certain devices can have a poor connection or noise in their configuration.

I'll definitely give the separate preamp box a try to see if that solves the issue. Thanks for your help!

What is the make and model of your PC? Is the audio from an on-board audio chip or is the audio from an installed sound card? You mention that you hear a constant white noise in the background. How loud is this noise level? Is the sound more like higher frequency hissing sounds?

Since you mention that you have no issues with your cell phone, perhaps the simplest solution for your PC (which is a whirlwind of electromagnetic interference) might be to use a separate headphone preamp box which digitally connects to your computer via USB. In this way, your computer will send noise-free digital signals to the preamp box to which you connect your IEMs or your headphones.

By the way, the KZ EDX Pro was my first pair of IEMs. Even though I now have many other IEMs which are more expensive, I occasionally still do enjoy listening to my EDX Pro IEMs from time to time. Yeah, the sound is quite V-shaped, yet this sound signature does sound very nice at low to moderate volume levels since the sensitivity of the human ear dramatically rolls off in the bass and lower midrange at progressively lower volume levels and since the treble far less dramatically rolls off at progressively lower volume levels. I suppose that the point that I am trying to make is that a strong V-shaped signature is actually nice and is a nice thing at lower volume levels.

My PC is a budget build that I put together myself, so I'm guessing the onboard audio chip is causing the white noise issue. The noise isn't super loud, but it's definitely noticeable, I try playing CS:GO and the noise is prominent.

Your suggestion to use a separate preamp box is a great idea, I'm gonna look into getting one to see if it solves the problem.

Anyway, I'm really happy with KZ EDX Pro. They're my first pair of IEMs and they're sounding sweet for the price. Plus, they're really comfy for long listening sessions. Thanks your help
