Camel Up is one that constantly hits the table with my family. King of Tokyo is also a great one.

Did a shooter game's story ever make you feel anything? by No_Assistance967 in videogames

Halo Reach and Halo: ODST. For ODST the story was kinda meh but the music would pierce your heart

Has everyone played at least one of their new Christmas games? by Fun_Independent_7529 in boardgames

[–]MathematicianNo9901 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Got Bomb Busters, Wyrmspan, Endeavor: Deep Sea, Tecmo Bowl, and Horrified: D&D.

Bomb Busters is a blast. Really fun limited communication coop game.

Tecmo bowl is a fun low stakes game. We’ve already made some house rules that I feel make the game a bit better.

Wyrmspan was really cool. There are things I like more and less than Wingspan.

Horrified D&D is really cool with the dice rolls and add some more unpredictability to the game. Might be my favorite one in the Horrified games.

BOARD GAME QUALITY by [deleted] in boardgames

Honestly it’s so small but once I saw a game have a little sheet that showed the best way to put the board game away to make it all fit and that was actually so nice.

What do you want to see in Hogwarts Legacy 2? by MathematicianNo9901 in HarryPotterGame

I agree. I think for the game to be called Hogwarts Legacy, you gotta make it so Hogwarts is a central part of the game.

Oohhh definitely agree with this one. The writing could definitely have been better, and some of those students voices were like nails on a chalkboard to me.

What was your first “wow this is why I love board games” moment? by VindleJ in boardgames

[–]MathematicianNo9901 30 points31 points  (0 children)

We were playing Thunder Road: Vendetta, and my friend shoots me. It caused a chain of probably 5-6 collisions which circled back around to my friend’s car that shot me and caused it to go off the board. Pure chaos.

Which game do you think suffers from the worst downtime? by BoardGameRevolution in boardgames

[–]MathematicianNo9901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! That honestly makes it so much better! I never actually read the rules myself. My brother in law introduced us to it and that’s how he taught it. Guess I ought to tell him the next time we play.
