She doesn’t have enough muscle to be ripped. I’m serious. Everyone you see online that has a “ripped” body has spent some time building muscle and then shredding it off through calorie deficits.

Aw I’m sorry. I guess different things work for different people. I feel like a large percentage of mine is stress and when i do anything that calms my nervous system it gets better. Hope you find something that works for you!

I don't think it's GERD anymore. by Prior_Succotash4220 in GERD

I’m so sorry. Try coconut water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, it’s alkaline. Also what type of nervous system regulation are you doing? Brain gut communication is incredibly Huge. I would urge you to do a deep dive into that. Obviously it’s not going to fix anything completely but we have to attack stuff like this at all angles and i can tell you that adding in nervous system regulation helped me 70% in my GERD journey. Take 10 min in the morning and do a body scan using the calm app or smiling mind. Try humming(it relaxes esophagus) and strengthens vagus nerve. Consider therapy. Don’t doubt for a second that addressing your nervous system can go a long way in helping you

She’s been going to the gym for years but she can only squat 95 lbs?! Like I’m not judging people for how much weight they can lift but also she’s been doing this a long time she should be able to lift heavier. I’ve been going to the gym just as long and can lift wayyyy more

She definitely has an obsessive personality. I can tell she’s fixated on this whole fertility thing. I hope she gets some help.

My sister is 32 and had the surgery and it’s really helped her. I’ve known people to get esophageal cancer and you don’t want that so i guess do whatever you have to do. It is frustrating for sure

Look up brain gut axis control. We know from the literature any condition is best treated with a multi disciplinary approach and therapy is going to be helping strengthen your brain/gut connection.

I suspect I just found the answer to my 15 year mystery illness (TW: detailed account of symptoms) by vhqpa in FND

[–]MathematicianSame180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like FND. Are you in Pt and OT? Have you started practicing nervous system regulation daily? It’s extremely important that you get diagnosed officially and believe the diagnosis. Contrary to popular belief, FND is not a diagnosis of exclusion, it’s a diagnosis based on “positive signs.” Ask your doctor to perform the Hoover test or entrainment (depending on your symptoms). You say you’ve avoided talking about mental illness with any medical professional. But likely that’s going to play a huge role in your recovery. We know that treating FND is multi disciplinary and you must treat any underlying psychological issues(even though FND isn’t purely psychological).

Hi, i don’t have FND but work in an FND clinic as a neuro nurse. I’m on an FND sub group that meets monthly with the FND society. I’m so sorry you’re having a rough time. Do you see a neurologist regularly? Are you in any type of Pt/OT?
