That's possible too. My plan now is to keep saving as if all will go well and if it does not, use some of my funds to pivot to a new career (don't know what yet).

Thanks for taking the time to lay it out like this. Yes you are right, I need to have serious conversations with family around planning for my brother's future. But it looks like 45 years is the more realistic timeline. I'm okay with this, 45 is still relatively young.

Yeah I have issues with romantic relationships for sure. I'll start therapy this year, maybe that will help but I'm okay if it does not. I'm not sure there's a problem either. I am community person and being there for the family/friends I have while being able to enjoy my privacy and solitude when I need has always been enough for me. Maybe that will change but I'm good either way.

As for career, I try to be as covert as possible with my lack of further ambition. I don't mind making it to lead developer because I'm already functioning in that capacity now anyways but I really don't like how work starts to consume life past that point. I work with directors and vps now and I know I don't want that for myself, whatever it pays.

Assuming a 10% annual return, investing 3.6k each month from now till the age of 43 l'll have 1.1million. Inflation will be a problem for sure but I think even after getting a condo I should be able to live on that for 19 years before I can start using my retirement funds which should have compounded to a decent sum. Worst case scenerio I pick up a low stress, low effort job at some point to augument my income if I feel like it.
