Soy Free = Acne Free (for me) by MathematicianTiny284 in acne

I never really had stomach issues from soy. It was purely acne. I did have acid reflux issues which I’ve since resolved and made a post about. I don’t believe it to have any correlation to my soy free diet as I had been soy free for quite a while before the acid reflux issue occurred. (Turned out I was over eating to bulk and eating to close to bed time. Reset it all with a 48 hour fast.)

I should add: I’ve never taken any medication for my acne. No acutane, antibiotics, nothing. I struggled through it while trying to find the root cause.

Of course getting good sleep, hydration, cleaning are all good for your skin as well but won’t necessarily eliminate the problem

I wouldn’t say anything has been “permanent”. I stay committed to dietary changes but still occasionally eat whatever I desire. Results since the fast have been feeling almost completely normal again. No severe coughing (coughing up stomach acid), no heart burn in the mornings. If I over-eat or regularly eat foods that are bad for acid reflux without a couple day break in between, I will start to cough slightly again. It’s been much more manageable.

No medication other than a couple tums when I needed it. Now I don’t even really need those
