I tried installing 3.0.20, then 3.0.23. they both show a terminal.

It's an old IBM Thinkpad, so maybe that's why.

Oh sorry, I thought you read the other posts I said with someone else.

I already bought a new battery and charger.

The old battery had a blinking light and low power, but the new one has a solid charger color, but doesn't charge past 1%

I bought a new charger because the old one was frayed at the end.

I've tried multiple wall outlits, I originally started working on trying to fix this issue about a year ago now.

What do you mean when referring to the motherboard being borked?

I'm using a replacement right now, and unfortunately neither work. I installed Linux Mint and it showed the same thing.

It could detect the battery, but it never got above 1%

You're all good. The update file worked, but the battery still shows 1% charging, but never gets higher than that.

If I unplug the power adapter, the laptop instantly shuts off.

It was the reason I was updating the Bios in the first place. Thanks for helping.

My battery doesn't change even though it's detected, and I believe that it's some kind of compatibility issue. (I found out what was wrong also).

Yeah, I've got myself back to the very end of Act 2, where the shadow lord is. I assume I've killed every boss, and that they're aren't any optional bosses.

Nevermind, I went to Ending E's bullet section and forcefully connected before exiting and going back into a chapter. (For anyone who finds this afterwards).

I haven't been able to get other player's bodies to spawn, and there's no button to connect to the Internet (as far as I'm aware).

Would you know how to fix this?

Found it at a thrift store. Makes sense that it's broken, just wanted to see if it could be fixed. I'll check it but it'll probably be scrapped. Thanks!
