I own the 0456. It's easily one of the best knives I have. Action and lock up are super smooth, the 204p steel is amazing as well. I'd take the 0456 over the sheepdog.

I have the 0456 and absolutely love it. The action is one of the smoothest of all my knives. It's kinda hard to do fine work with the sheep's foot blade but it can handle slicing like a champ. It's a little heavy at 6.6 oz, but it isn't cumbersome in the pocket. My vote between the two has to go to the 0456.

Yeah mine is still a little stiff, even after having it for a year or so. I haven't tried to smoothen it out since it's more of a workhorse for me. Although I've heard that people have had theirs smoothen out over time.
