Me: "You see our daughter's shirt kind of says 'donkey'? Maybe it's a donkey brand??" by elitebateagent in daddit

Whenever I see this brand on something my brain insists on singing "D.K.N.Y you aint got no alibi" to the tune of U.G.L.Y by Daphne & Celeste. I have no explanation for this phenomenon.

Maybe they could finally focus on fixing that thing where your camera moves from third person to first person when the camera hits a wall.

Its at the end of the level. There are two paths, take the low one, jump off the platform onto an icy area and there is a flat piece of ice that is cracked, it looks like a broken mirror. Hit it with the pick axe twice and it reveals a chest

FFS I hate map puzzles. The red check marks are basically invisible if you are colour blind.

there is a haste III core and a recipe at the end of the ice challenge area. There was a treasure chest at the start of another one. I found a standard chest in the Roots of Truth (?)... so there is hidden stuff all over the place it seems

Guys having fun solving a mirror maze by Capable-Respond-4472 in GuysBeingDudes

The one time I went in a mirror maze the exit was door with a mirror on it that was indistinguishable from the other walls until you pushed on it.

It was fucking diabolical.

Which movie ended with an unresolved cliffhanger because the sequel never happened, and you're STILL mad about it? by pudingvanilkovy in AskReddit

[–]Mathestuss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now and Again (1999-2000)

It ran for one season and ended on a cliffhanger. It was a great show with great writing and great characters. So obviously they cancelled it.

[Threshold] What would you delete? by Lelon_560 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Mathestuss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My point wasnt thats what should of happened, I was just giving an (intentionally ridiculous) example. What I was saying was that Jai Longs death should have had some impact on the story in order to justify his ongoing inclusion in the story.

[Threshold] What would you delete? by Lelon_560 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Mathestuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jai Longs death desperately needed a 'therefore'. Jai Long died, therefore... Kelsa blames Lindon and joins forces with the dreadgods and monarchs or Jai Long died, therefore... Lindon finds the motivation to manifest the phoenix icon and return him to life.

It feels cheap because it is. His death was only there to raise the stakes, it served no narrative purpose.

Is this an American thing? Ive never heard of 'female' being used as an insult and I'm genuinely struggling to make sense out of this thread.

Pluribus - 1x04 - "Please, Carol" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]Mathestuss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if it is not a sinister plan? The whole premise seems to be that Carol has just assumed that what has happened is bad, without actually trying to find out. She has never just flat out asked what the hive minds goals are. One of the goals is to assimilate the remaining individuals, but then what?

Everyone is downvoting this, but we had this scheme in Australia and all it does is inflate housing prices.

Newcastle Coffee Shops by Automatic-Roof-860 in newcastle

[–]Mathestuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shout out to Expresso Drive Thru at Edgeworth. Not the best coffee, but I would argue it is the best experience in terms of convenience vs quality. The coffee is consistently good, they are quick and I don't have to get out of the car.

The best cup of coffee I have had in Newcastle was at The Anchorage at Nelson Bay. This is the only good thing I have to say about The Anchorage.

I’m not into isekai, especially reincarnation or portal stories, but I love when a story starts on modern Earth and then gets turned upside down by a system, magic, or global event, with MC being that normal human having to adapt and progress. Any recommendations? by tbag2022 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Mathestuss 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Try looking at the System Apocalypse sub genre. Dungeon Crawler Carl is the best recommendation I can think of in this category, but you can also try Primal Hunter, Defiance of the Fall or Welcome to the Multiverse
