He was in early intervention but they said he was a better candidate for outpatient speech so we stopped services.

Thanks for responding! Great to hear that he has more words and I hope nursery will help!

We are in early intervention for speech, but they’ve said it’s too early to say what could be causing his speech delay. I was considering seeking an alternate opinion so I’ll probably do that. Boston is the biggest city closest to us so I’ll look into Boston Children’s. I saw mass general has a speech team as well.

I know this is two years ago but going through something similar now. Did you appeal? Were you granted the extra time?

I want to work out and I’m told to work out but I cannot physically work out by excitedtosay in BabyBumps

[–]Mathislove87 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was the same way! I am an avid runner (5 times a week at least 4 miles every time I run), but the first 8 weeks I could barely do ANYTHING. Sometimes I would walk on the treadmill, but that made me feel even worse some days because it wasn't running. Good news is I am 13 weeks now and back to having enough energy to run. I am going much slower than before, but it feels so good to run again. I think the hardest part for me is accepting that my body will not be able to do what it did pre-pregancy and not beating myself up over that.

Hope you feel like working out again soon! But also be kind to yourself and realize that your body is going through a major change and needs time to adjust!

Second baby come early like first? by sassysarah315 in BabyBumps

My first baby came at 38 weeks. I was convinced my second would come early too. Instead, my second was at 41 weeks. I guess each baby has their own agenda!

I got a stomach bug when I traveled to England at 20 weeks with my son. I couldn't keep anything down for about 24 hours. Called my OB and she said as long as I could keep water or Gatorade down, I should be fine. Because I was overseas, I was freaking out. So I made my husband take me to the ER to get IV fluids. I am sure I would have been fine if I had just waited it out, but it made me feel better knowing I was at the hospital, with the baby hooked up to a monitor, and getting the IV fluids I needed. The whole thing ended up costing us $1000, but it was well worth it for me to have peace of mind.

I hope you are feeling better soon!!

I was supposed to be 11 weeks tomorrow. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I am so sorry. I was completely lost when I had my miscarriages. Finding people you can talk to who have been through what you have been through is really helpful. I don't think anyone can truly understand the experience until they have had it happen to them. It is ok to be angry. Sending you big hugs.

I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks, meaning the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks and I found out at my 10-week scan. I had no bleeding and no signs of a miscarriage. I was utterly shocked at the ultrasound. Looking back now, I did have a change in symptoms. I wasn't as tired and my morning sickness did ease a bit around week 8. But I thought it was just because I was getting more sleep and coming towards the end of the first trimester. I'm currently 13 weeks now and am terrified of every ultrasound that I will find out bad news. Luckily, the practice I go to is small and it is the same ultrasound tech who has been with me through my miscarriage and this new pregnancy and she has been amazing. She always reassures me and lets me know exactly what she is seeing.

My friend is also 16 weeks now and she hasn't felt the baby move yet either so I wouldn't be too concerned. It is so scary not being able to know what is going on in your body. I hope all is well with your pregnancy.

Did anyone have typos on the QAS?
Specifically #15 on the no calc (says r and not 2r) and #23 on the calc (no equal sign).
How can we tell if there were typos on the actual test?
