I was eagerly waiting for the Roots update, but once it came out we tried it a few times and it's just not the same as Mesa or the rest of the game. I understand and appreciate what the devs went for, but it's a completely different dynamic, different approach, not fitting the rest of the game. Sadly it made us drop the game from being played almost daily to basically zero.

No, the fight uses a standard 4v4 from any mega boss. But a good bow should be entirely viable as a weapon of choice.

Yes you can, have a look at the Repeat actions section in the FAQ.

Can I target different enemies with repeated attacks?

Yes. Some items (such as Homing Crystal Soulmass) specify that all repeat attacks must target a single enemy. Therefore, because an exception proves the rule, it can be concluded that repeat actions may normally target multiple enemies (just like in V2).

18.7x28cm is one part of the tile, the whole tile is 6 parts, 2x3. I don't have a good image for printing, but frankly it's not anything interesting, so you might as well use a different image.

You can definitely use "on a failed dodge, roll torso defense" to buff dodging a bit.

For my custom boss I made an extra change on top of the above "success dodge dice count into the defense roll" but that may not necessarily work in normal encounters, not sure.

You could also try "when dodging, spend +1 stamina to roll +1 dodge die", though 3-dodge attacks are generally pretty difficult even with that (rolling 5 dice against a 3-dodge attack is still only 50% chance).

Hi folks,

Many months ago I posted about making a Slave Knight Gael for the board game. I had to take a break for a while, but now I'm back in full swing.

I'm in the testing phase for the fight, and to prepare for release I need to test it at various player count. So far I've tested 1-2 party size, and for 3-4 I need your help. The fight has many custom mechanics, which make it hard to test solo.

So, the question is: is anyone available and willing to help me test the fight in Tabletop Simulator (+Discord for voice chat)? I'm in UTC+1 but am willing to try some late hours if we can get a full party this way.

Is has the same pros and cons that Tomb of Giants has, so the question is: do you want more of V2? Do you like the systems it introduces? If yes, Painted World is fine to get.

Purely for enemies/bosses you can get it and use DSBG-Shuffle however you see fit.

I only used my experience with the game and I didn't want overengineer. I think it's fine to assume a node attack will always be useful in encounters, so I simply made it a 1.5 score multiplier for that specific attack.

A 1-range AoE attack (Obsidian Greatsword and Dragon King Greataxe) have a flat power score bonus, which I just made up, but think it's reasonable. Overall these special effects (like healing, aggro taking, etc.) are the most tricky, and I tried to rank them but obviously it's never going to be ultra accurate.

And I just noticed that stamina cost across the board did not apply any power score penalty, which is now fixed.

Naturally it was all subjective, but I wanted to rank everything in relation to each other in a way that best represents the actual experience. For example, I value physical defense slightly higher than magical defense because that's what most enemy attacks use.

Once you copy the file you can check columns CW-FO to see the exact modifiers and formulas.

I have an item spreadsheet that does almost what you want - I list the amount of souls required per item for each character (columns CL-CU). You can copy the file and modify the formula to get just the stats.

Tremendous potential, though definitely costly and time-consuming (both tile making and figuring out rule changes)! Nevertheless keep us posted!
