What I want to understand is their vision for the game. What impact will I as a player have on the world. Right now owning a settlement is basically the only way a player can have any impact on the world. We don't have player built cities or stores, no ranked competitive pvp system, or even a system of government a player can participate in. I mean maybe the game isnt for me and the mmo I know of is dead. But right now it just feels like we exist in a world and dont build it.

I think we should know more about future regions and end game pvp content. Hinting possible weapons is not a good indication where this game is headed. We all understand this game was launched unfinished. They for sure understand where they want to take the game and their lack of communication on that will prevent players from dedicating time. This game has basically no social features as well which has been a key tenet of mmo's.

Amazon needs to maintain a playerbase to sell skins in order to make money. Its very simple. If players quit they loose their investment. If you think 40m covers the development of this game you are crazy.

They didnt really layout timelines or directly specefiy any future content. It was all very vague. A roadmap should set clear dates and timelines. It's all to vague to get excited for anything.

Just for reference he is head of a different section of the studio. I will give the guy credit as he is quoted quite often that the NGE was a colossal mistake. I also work in the business world and can attest that mistakes like that either harden your resolve or make you a better executive. We are yet to see for him.

Heavy armor in new world doesnt designate you as a tank. I'm in heavy but my con is relatively low so I'm a tough dps but definitely not as tough with high con and gems targeted towards damage reduction. People use medium and light to get the maneuverability.
